    The University of Queensland Cybrary began work on the UQL Cyberschool early in 1998 through a partnership with an international database publisher, Information Access Company (now known as The Gale Group). After a very successful trial in three Brisbane schools, Indooroopilly State High, Brisbane Girls Grammar and Kenmore State High, the University of Queensland Cybrary and IAC offered discount access to Expanded Academic ASAP database to subscribing Queensland high schools from February 1999. At the same time a web page of free resources was created for school use
