A Study of a Logistics Transport Chain in the Transport of Selected Commodity from Eastern Europe to China

This article deals with a model of a logistics transport chain, which is the result of research for customers of selected commodities. Mineral water producers use sea transport for transporting their products to China nowadays. The Institute of Technology and Business in České Budějovice and the University of Žilina were asked to propose a new optimized logistics chain employing combined transport consisting of road and railway transport

L’actualité en 2003 et 2004 a été dominée par les négociations sur le deuxième paquet des bilatérales avec l’Union européenne et les liens de certains dossiers avec le secret bancaire suisse. Conformément aux normes pénales en Suisse, qui répriment la fraude fiscale mais pas la simple omission fiscale (soustraction fiscale), la Suisse ne voulait en aucun cas accepter le système, mis sur pied par l’Union européenne, d’échange automatique d’informations entre administrations fiscales sur les placements à l’étranger de ressortissants de l’Union européenne. Le compromis trouvé est l’établissement progressif d’un impôt anticipé perçu sur les avoirs placés dans les banques suisses. Deux autres dossiers négociés avec l’Union européenne, les accords Schengen/Dublin et la lutte contre les fraudes douanières, touchent aussi le secret bancaire, que la Suisse a préservé.La Suisse a sensiblement renforcé sa législation depuis le début des années 1990 pour mieux réprimer le blanchiment et la corruption, et faciliter l’entraide judiciaire internationale. Une partie des milieux financiers reprochent même de plus en plus à la Confédération d’avoir trop de zèle dans le domaine de la lutte contre le blanchiment par rapport à d’autres pays ayant des places financières importantes, ce qui risque de nuire à la compétitivité de la place financière suisse. La Suisse avait ratifié en mai 2000 la Convention de l’OCDE sur la lutte contre la corruption d’agents publics étrangers dans les transactions commerciales internationales. L’OCDE a mis sur pied un système d’examen par les pairs des législations des différents pays qui ont ratifié la convention. La Suisse a été examinée en hiver 2004-2005 et l’OCDE formule quelques recommandations pour renforcer la lutte contre la corruption

PROSPECTS OF INTERNATIONAL FREIGHT TRANSPORT IN THE EAST-WEST DIRECTION

The article deals with the assets of building broad-gauge lines in Europe. The delivery time for international transport of goods affects international business in terms of the capital put into goods and subsequently affects its turnover rate. The current disproportion of different line gauges in Europe causes significant problems in the transport of goods especially in commodity streams in the East - West direction. Based on previous research of commodity streams in international trade and a comprehensive analysis of all performed studies for building broad gauge lines, the assets of building these lines included the development of employment, increasing the transport capacity and the building of transshipment stations in Slovakia. The current geopolitical developments have also a significant impact on international transport and important transport links, therefore diversifying these risks is a logical consideration to ensure the smooth delivery of goods and thus the development of international trade

Shunting Locomotives Fuel and Power Resources Decrease

The article discusses about the increase in operational fuel consumption of shunting locomotives in the cold season. Possible solutions to this problem through the use of diesel engines with dry crankcase are considered. The technique of evaluating the thermal state of the diesel engine and the calculation of fuel consumption of heating boiler are provided
