Measurement of CP Violation at the without Time Ordering or
I derive the expressions for the CP-violating asymmetry arising from
interference between mixed and direct decays in the Upsilon(4S) system, for the
case in which only one of the B decay times is observed, integrating over the
decay time of the other B. I observe that neither the difference of the decay
times Delta t, nor even their time-ordering, need be detected. A technique for
measurement of the CP-violating weak decay parameter sin(2beta) is described

Applicability of Perturbative QCD to Decays
We examine the applicability of perturbative QCD to meson decays into
mesons. We find that the perturbative QCD formalism, which includes Sudakov
effects at intermediate energy scales, is applicable to the semi-leptonic decay
, when the meson recoils fast. Following this conclusion, we
analyze the two-body non-leptonic decays and . By
comparing our predictions with experimental data, we extract the matrix element

A connection between inclusive semileptonic decays of bound and free heavy quarks
A relativistic constituent quark model, formulated on the light-front, is
used to derive a new parton approximation for the inclusive semileptonic decay
width of the B-meson. A simple connection between the decay rate of a free
heavy-quark and the one of a heavy-quark bound in a meson or in a baryon is
established. The main features of the new approach are the treatment of the
b-quark as an on-mass-shell particle and the inclusion of the effects arising
from the b-quark transverse motion in the B-meson. In a way conceptually
similar to the deep-inelastic scattering case, the B-meson inclusive width is
expressed as the integral of the free b-quark partial width multiplied by a
bound-state factor related to the b-quark distribution function in the B-meson.
The non-perturbative meson structure is described through various quark-model
wave functions, constructed via the Hamiltonian light-front formalism using as
input both relativized and non-relativistic potential models. A link between
spectroscopic quark models and the B-meson decay physics is obtained in this
way. Our predictions for the B -> X_c l nu_l and B -> X_u l nu_l decays are
used to extract the CKM parameters |V_cb| and |V_ub| from available inclusive
data. After averaging over the various quark models adopted and including
leading-order perturbative QCD corrections, we obtain |V_cb| = (43.0 +/-
0.7_exp +/- 1.8_th) 10^-3 and |V_ub| = (3.83 +/- 0.48_exp +/- 0.14_th) 10^-3,
implying |V_ub / V_cb| = 0.089 +/- 0.011_exp +/- 0.005_th, in nice agreement

Update of the measurement of the cross section for e^+e^- -> psi(3770) -> hadrons
We have updated our measurement of the cross section for e^+e^- -> psi(3770)
-> hadrons, our publication "Measurement of sigma(e^+e^- -> psi(3770) ->
hadrons) at E_{c.m.} = 3773 MeV", arXiv:hep-ex/0512038, Phys.Rev.Lett.96,
092002 (2006). Simultaneous with this arXiv update, we have published an
erratum in Phys.Rev.Lett.104, 159901 (2010). There, and in this update, we have
corrected a mistake in the computation of the error on the difference of the
cross sections for e^+e^- -> psi(3770) -> hadrons and e^+e^- -> psi(3770) ->
DDbar. We have also used a more recent CLEO measurement of cross section for
e^+e^- -> psi(3770) -> DDbar. From this, we obtain an upper limit on the
branching fraction for psi(3770) -> non-DDbar of 9% at 90% confidence level.Comment: 3 pages, 0 figures. This is an erratum to

Branching Fractions of tau Leptons to Three Charged Hadrons
From electron-positron collision data collected with the CLEO detector
operating at CESR near \sqrt{s}=10.6 GeV, improved measurements of the
branching fractions for tau decays into three explicitly identified hadrons and
a neutrino are presented as {\cal
B}(\tau^-\to\pi^-\pi^+\pi^-\nu_\tau)=(9.13\pm0.05\pm0.46)%, {\cal B}(\tau^-\to
K^-\pi^+\pi^-\nu_\tau)=(3.84\pm0.14\pm0.38)\times10^{-3}, {\cal B}(\tau^-\to
K^-K^+\pi^-\nu_\tau)=(1.55\pm0.06\pm0.09)\times10^{-3}, and {\cal B}(\tau^-\to
K^-K^+K^-\nu_\tau)<3.7\times10^{-5} at 90% C.L., where the uncertainties are

Measurement of Interfering K^*+K^- and K^*-K^+ Amplitudes in the Decay D^0 --> K^+K^-pi^0
We have studied the Cabibbo-suppressed decay mode D^0 into K^+ K^- pi^0 using
a Dalitz plot technique and find the strong phase difference delta_D [defined
as delta_(K*^- K^+) - delta_(K*^+ K^-)] = 332 degrees +- 8 degrees +- 11
degrees and relative amplitude r_D [defined as a_(K*^- K^+) / a_(K*^+ K^-)] =
0.52 +- 0.05 +- 0.04. This measurement indicates significant destructive
interference between D^0 into K^+ (K^- pi^0)_K*^- and D^0 into K^- (K^+
pi^0)_K*^+ in the Dalitz plot region where these two modes overlap. This
analysis uses 9.0 fb^(-1) of data collected at s^(1/2) of approximately 10.58

Measurement of the Total Hadronic Cross Section in e+e- Annihilations below 10.56 GeV
Using the CLEO III detector, we measure absolute cross sections for e+e- -->
hadrons at seven center-of-mass energies between 6.964 and 10.538 GeV. The
values of R, the ratio of hadronic and muon pair production cross sections, are

A Study of the Decays D^0 --> pi^- e^+ nu_e, D^0 --> K^- e^+ nu_e, D^+ --> pi^0 e^+ nu_e, and D^+ --> barK^0 e^+ nu_e
Using 1.8 million DDbar pairs and a neutrino reconstruction technique, we
have studied the decays D^0 -> K^- e^+ nu_e, D^0 -> pi^- e^+ nu_e, D^+ ->
Kbar^0 e^+ nu_e, and D^+ -> pi^0 e^+ nu_e. We find B(D^0 -> pi^- e^+ nu_e) =
0.299(11)(9)%, B(D^+ -> pi^0 e^+ nu_e) = 0.373(22)(13)%, B(D^0 -> K^- e^+ nu_e)
= 3.56(3)(9)%, and B(D^+ -> Kbar^0 e^+ nu_e) = 8.53(13)(23)%. In addition, form
factors are studied through fits to the partial branching fractions obtained in
five q^2 ranges. By combining our results with recent unquenched lattice
calculations, we obtain |Vcd| = 0.217(9)(4)(23) and |Vcs| = 1.015(10)(11)(106).Comment: 9 pages, postscript also available through
