Low temperature nuclear orientation of 187,189,191^{ 187,189,191}Pt nuclei

Neutron deficient /sup 187,189,191/Pt, prepared by isotopic implantation and by ( alpha , xn) reaction have been oriented at low temperature with a /sup 3/He-/sup 4/He dilution refrigerator. Ground state magnetic moments have been determined : mod mu (/sup 189/Pt, 3 /2) mod =(0.41+or-0.04) mu /sub N/ and mod mu (/sup 191/Pt,3/2) mod = (0.45+or-0.14) mu /sub N/. E2/M1 mixing ratios in the daughter nuclei with j/sub beta /=0 to j/sub beta /=1 intensity ratios in the electron capture decay have been also evaluated
