LOCV calculation of the equation of state and properties of rapidly rotating neutron stars
In this paper, we have investigated the structural properties of rotating
neutron stars using the numerical RNS code and the equation of states which
have been calculated within the lowest order constrained variational approach.
In order to calculate the equation of state of nuclear matter, we have used
UV TNI and AV potentials. Here, we have computed the maximum
mass of the neutron star and the corresponding equatorial radius at different
angular velocity. We have also computed the structural properties of Keplerian
rotating neutron star for maximum mass configuration, , ,

A Two-Dimensional CA Traffic Model with Dynamic Route Choices Between Residence and Workplace
The Biham, Middleton and Levine (BML) model is extended to describe dynamic
route choices between the residence and workplace in cities. The traffic
dynamic in the city with a single workplace is studied from the velocity
diagram, arrival time probability distribution, destination arrival rate and
convergence time. The city with double workplaces is also investigated to
compared with a single workplace within the framework of four modes of urban
growth. The transitional region is found in the velocity diagrams where the
system undergoes a continuous transition from a moving phase to a completely
jamming phase. We perform a finite-size scaling analysis of the critical
density from a statistical point of view and the order parameter of this
jamming transition is estimated. It is also found that statistical properties
of urban traffic are greatly influenced by the urban area, workplace area and

Vehicular traffic flow at an intersection with the possibility of turning
We have developed a Nagel-Schreckenberg cellular automata model for
describing of vehicular traffic flow at a single intersection. A set of traffic
lights operating in fixed-time scheme controls the traffic flow. Open boundary
condition is applied to the streets each of which conduct a uni-directional
flow. Streets are single-lane and cars can turn upon reaching to the
intersection with prescribed probabilities. Extensive Monte Carlo simulations
are carried out to find the model flow characteristics. In particular, we
investigate the flows dependence on the signalisation parameters, turning
probabilities and input rates. It is shown that for each set of parameters,
there exist a plateau region inside which the total outflow from the
intersection remains almost constant. We also compute total waiting time of
vehicles per cycle behind red lights for various control parameters.Comment: 8 pages, 17 eps figures, Late
