Terrorism & Regional Power of Iran

    No full text
Recent developments in Arabic and Middle Eastern countries, particularly Iraq and Syria have caused a sensitive and critical status in this area. U.S global hegemony continued to provoke terrorism and other terrorist outfits. Meanwhile the rise of new emergency terrorist group such as ISIS have destabilized the Middle East and entrenched the region as the major source of global terror. Even the more stable states, such as Turkey and Saudi Arabia, display strong terrorist tendencies and support radical groups that engage in terrorism. Therefore, several major developments in the Middle East will keep the region a wellspring of terror and a source of inspiration for radicals for the foreseeable future. According this article terrorism tries to weak the regional power of Iran since our analysis has shown that Iran is the only country in the region that fights really against the terrorism. This article by using descriptive & analytical methods which based on theoretical teachings of international relations studies will show that terrorism and terrorist groups are the serious threats for national interesting of Islamic republic of Iran, by arguing that some of the stable countries in the region in all its manifestations breed terrorism

Introduction: The aim of this study was to evaluate relationship between foot posture and static and dynamic balance in athlete and non-athlete girls. Material and methods: there were 40 girl student that 20 of them were athlete aged 21/5+- 4/62 and 20non-athlete aged 22/8 +-2/61. to evaluate foot posture, dynamic balance and static balance used radmond,s six scale visual method, star exersion balance test, and BESS test respectively. To analyzing data, indipendent t-test and pearson correlation test was used.(p≤0/05) Results: there was not significant correlation between foot posture with dynamic and static balance in any of athlete and non-athlete girls group (p≥0/05) but there were significant difference in foot posture, dynamic and static balance between two group (p≤0/05). Conclusion:this research show that athletes have a propriate foot posture index and balance function. also we can probably say that fitness and neuro-muscular performance affect on balance more than biomechanic factors such as foot posture. To evaluate this hypothesis we need more researchs

Lingual Thyroid: A Case Report and Literature Review

    No full text
Thyroid ectopia is a dysgenesis of thyroid gland and Lingual position represents the most frequent ectopic location accounting up to 90% of ectopic cases. Hypothyroidism is commonly present because of absence of a normal thyroid gland in most instances. Primary hypothyroidism in juvenile population generally leads to retardation of linear growth and delay or even arrested puberty. We present a 20 years old female with typical and profound presentation of hypothyroidism due to lingual thyroid

Graph theoretical defense mechanisms against false data injection attacks in smart grids

Abstract This paper addresses false data injection, which is one of the most significant security challenges in smart grids. Having an accurately estimated state is of great importance for maintaining a stable running condition of smart grids. To preserve the accuracy of the estimated state, bad data detection (BDD) mechanisms are utilized to remove erroneous measurements due to meter failures or outsider attacks. In this paper we use a graph-theoretical formulation for false data injection attacks in smart grids and propose defense mechanisms to mitigating this type of attacks. To this end we discuss characteristics of a typical smart grid graph such as planarity. Then we propose three different approaches for finding optimal protected meters set: a fast and efficient heuristic algorithm that works well in practice, an approximation algorithm that provides guarantee for the quality of the protected set, and an exact algorithm that find the optimal solution. Our extensive simulation results show that our algorithms outperform similar existing solutions in terms of different performance metrics

Abstract Background: Dendrimers are a subset of branched structures that have certain structural order. The aim of this study was to investigate the performance of Polypropylenimine-G2 (PPI-G2) dendrimers in removal of Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus from aqueous solution. Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, initially dilution of 103 CFU/ml was prepared from each strain of bacteria. Then, different concentrations of dendrimers (0.5, 5, 50 and 500 µg/ml) was added to water. In order to determine the efficiency of dendrimers in removal of bacteria, samples were taken at different times (0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 min) and were cultured on nutrient agar medium. Samples were incubated for 24 hours at 37 ° C and then the number of colonies was counted. Results: By the increasment of dendrimer concentration and contact time, the number of bacteria in aqueous solution decreased. In times of 40, 50 and 60 minutes, and the concentrations of 50 and 500 µg/ml, all kinds of bacteria in aqueous solution were removed. 0.5 µg/ml of dendrimer concentration had not effect in reducing the number of Escherichia coli and Proteus mirabilis. The effect of dendrimer on gram-negative bacteria was weaker than gram-positive bacteria. Conclusion: Results of this study indicated that PPI-G2 dendrimer is able to remove Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis in aqueous solution. However, using dendrimers can be considered as a new approach for drinking water disinfection but it requires further wide range studies
