Erica Jong Revisited (or) No Wonder We Men Had Trouble Understanding Feminism
It was 1974-ten years ago-and I knew I was not happy with my masculinity. Also, I knew there were not men around me with whom I could discuss what was happening inside of me. And all the feminists were telling me to get with it. They told me to read all the feminist literature I could get my hands on, attend all the feminist meetings-except, of course, the ones where men were not allowed, and acknowledge my role as an oppressor so I could help the world become a better place for women
Design Study of LBNF APA Trolley with connected saddle
This report presents the accomplished work during eight weeks of the CERN Summer Student Program 2021. The purpose of this design study is to propose a new design for a beam trolley, used for installing the anode plane assembly (APA) in the LBNF detector of the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE). The new design differs by connecting the prescribed saddle component with a clevis, which can be connected to a pin in a rapid and facile way. Furthermore, the trolley is adjustable to different beam sizes, by simply using washers for distance control. Using ANSYS, a finite element analysis (FEA) was conducted. The non-linear static analysis provided computational results of deformations and stresses in the structure. The obtained results were analyzed, and it was concluded, that all results lay inside the allowed value ranges defined by material properties
