KBS for Diagnosing Pineapple Diseases
Abstract: Background: The pineapple (A nanas comosus) is a tropical plant with an edible multiple fruit consisting of coalesced berries, also called pineapples, and the most economically significant plant in the Bromeliaceae family. Pineapples may be cultivated from a crown cutting of the fruit, possibly flowering in five to ten months and fruiting in the following six months.[5][6] Pineapples do not ripen significantly after harvest. In 2016, Costa Rica, Brazil, and the Philippines accounted for nearly one-third of the world's production of pineapples.[8] Pineapple damage is not taken quickly, it can lead to damage in the Pineapple. Objectives: The main goal of this expert system is to get the appropriate diagnosis of disease and the correct treatment. Methods: In this paper the design of the proposed Expert System which was produced to help Fruits Agricultural Specialist in diagnosing many of the Pineapple diseases such as : Phytophthora heart (top) rot, Base (butt) rot or Fruit let core rot (green eye, Pineapple Sprain, Turf Toe, Pineapple disease , Plantar Fasciitis, Warts, Bunion, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Gout, Heel Spur, Athlete's Pineapple , The proposed expert system presents an overview about Pineapple diseases are given, the cause of diseases are outlined and the treatment of disease whenever possible is given out. CLIPS Expert System language was used for designing and implementing the proposed expert system. ANN for Diagnosing Hepatitis Virus
Abstract: This paper presents an artificial neural network based approach for the diagnosis of hepatitis virus. A number of factors that may possibly influence the performance of patients were outlined. Such factors as age, sex, Steroid, Antivirals, Fatigue, Malaise, Anorexia, Liver Big, Liver Firm Splean Palpable, Spiders, Ascites, Varices, Bilirubin, Alk Phosphate, SGOT, Albumin, Protine and Histology, were then used as input variables for the ANN model . Test data evaluation shows that the ANN model is able to correctly predict the diagnosis of more than 93% of prospective Patients
Design and Development of an Intelligent Tutoring System for C# Language
Learning programming is thought to be troublesome. One doable reason why students don’t do well in programming is expounded to the very fact that traditional way of learning within the lecture hall adds more stress on students in understanding the Material rather than applying the Material to a true application. For a few students, this teaching model might not catch their interest. As a result, they'll not offer their best effort to grasp the Material given. Seeing however the information is applied to real issues will increase student interest in learning. As a consequence, this may increase their effort to be taught.
In the current paper, we try to help students learn C# programming language using Intelligent Tutoring System. This ITS was developed using ITSB authoring tool to be able to help the student learn programming efficiently and make the learning procedure very pleasing. A knowledge base using ITSB authoring tool style was used to represent the student's work and to give customized feedback and support to students

The effect of Sm2O3 on the sintering and grain growth behaviors of SnO2-based ceramics
The effect of samarium oxide was examined on the sintering, microstructure, and grain growth behaviors of (Co, Nb)-doped SnO2-based ceramics prepared by co-precipitation method. The sintered samples were studied through x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and electron dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) analyses. The microstructure observations revealed that the samples were near fully dense at a sintering temperature of 1200°C for 1h. The samarium doping prevented accelerated grain growth of the SnO2-based ceramic in the final stage of the sintering. The mean grain size of the SnO2-based ceramic without Sm2O3 doping was 2.70μm, which was reduced to 0.887μm for the sample doped with 0.05mol% Sm2O3. The grain size reduction of samples doped with Sm2O3 could be attributed to the segregation of Sm2O3 at the grain boundaries
Insulinotropic Properties of Several Malaysian Herbs and Ganoderma Species
Diabetes Mellitus incident is currently one of the major and common diseases in
Malaysia and increasing every year. To date, no herbs or drugs are able to completely
cure the disease. In this study, insulinotropic properties of Malaysian herbs were
investigated using pancreatic P cells BRIN-BD1 1 . Three out of 13 herbs samples studied
were belongs to fungi (Ganoderma sp). The studied showed seven samples are able to
induce insulin secretion over 200 % by BRIN-BD11 cell lines. Based on traditional
practitioner reports, Gynuraprocumbens was choosed for further investigation on its antihyperglycemic
properties. Glucose tolerance test were carried on normal and
streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats showed at 1000 mglkgl b.w Gynura procumbens
methanolic extract was able to reduce blood glucose level in rats. Toxicity towards
BRIN-BD11 cells was analyzed using MTT assay and alkaline comet assay. Toxicity
levels at ICS0 was 300 uglml using MTT assay. Furthermore, Alkaline Comet Assay has
proved this toxicity is not due to DNA damage in BRIN-BDl 1 cells. Acute toxicity was
carried on ICR strain mice for 14 days. Gynuraprocumbens did not show any toxicity at
concentration 7 glkg b.w after administered orally. These results suggest Gynura
procumbens and other herbs contain active constituents and have potentials for diabetes
treatment
ANN for Predicting Temperature and Humidity in the Surrounding Environment
Abstract: In this research, an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model was developed and tested to predict temperature in the surrounding environment. A number of factors were identified that may affect temperature or humidity. Factors such as the nature of the surrounding place, proximity or distance from water surfaces, the influence of vegetation, and the level of rise or fall below sea level, among others, as input variables for the ANN model. A model based on multi-layer concept topology was developed and trained using data from several regions in the surrounding environment.
The evaluation of testing the dataset shows that the ANN model is capable of correctly predicting the temperature with 100% accuracy
