Dicobalt-µ-oxo Polyoxometalate Compound, [(a2-P2W17O61Co)2O]14-: A Potent Species for Water Oxidation, C-H Bond Activation, and Oxygen Transfer

10.1021/ic402962cA dimeric polyoxometalatate-based bis cobalt(III)-oxyl compound, [(POMCo)2O], was isolated by oxidation of a monomeric cobalt(II) precursor with ozone and characterized in the solid state by X-ray diffraction and in solution by multiple spectroscopic methods. The electronic state was determined computationally.
