Processing and utilization of tuna
Tuna, fresh or processed in different styles, is a very important
commodity in the world trade for fish and fishery products
Color Skyrmions in the Quark-Gluon Plasma
We consider the general formulation of nonabelian fluid dynamics based on
symmetry considerations. We point out that, quite generally, this admits
solitonic excitations which are the color analog of skyrmions. Some general
properties of the solitons are discussed.Comment: LaTeX, 13 pages, references adde
Chern-Simons Theory and the Quark-Gluon Plasma
The generating functional for hard thermal loops in QCD is important in
setting up a resummed perturbation theory, so that all terms of a given order
in the coupling constant can be consistently taken into account. It is also the
functional which leads to a gauge invariant description of Debye screening and
plasma waves in the quark-gluon plasma. We have recently shown that this
functional is closely related to the eikonal for a Chern-Simons gauge theory.
In this paper, this relationship is explored and explained in more detail,
along with some generalizations.Comment: 28 pages (4 Feynman diagrams not included, available upon request
Chern-Simons Reduction and non-Abelian Fluid Mechanics
We propose a non-Abelian generalization of the Clebsch parameterization for a
vector in three dimensions. The construction is based on a group-theoretical
reduction of the Chern-Simons form on a symmetric space. The formalism is then
used to give a canonical (symplectic) discussion of non-Abelian fluid
mechanics, analogous to the way the Abelian Clebsch parameterization allows a
canonical description of conventional fluid mechanics.Comment: 12 pages, REVTeX; revised for publication in Phys Rev D; email to

Oceanographic parameters and their relationship to fish catch estimation: a case study in coastal waters north of Cochin during 1981
Coastal waters in the North of Cochin was selected for the present study. This area is well known for the occurrence
and abundance of fish schools of oil sardine (Sardinella Iongiceps) and mackerel (Rastrelliger Kanagurta) allowing the period after SW monsoon in the Indian Ocea
Remote sensing of ocean colour and targeting of fish schools from airborne sensors
Studying the well known pelagic school of oil sardine and mackerel in the Arabian sea of the Indian Ocean. A high productivity is reported in the oceanic waters of Cochin preceding SW monsoon. A remote sensing experiment was carried out in the oceanic waters over North of Cochin coast involving vessel-based sea truth data collection synchronous to aircraft overflights during October, November and December 1981
Matrix Models
Matrix models and their connections to String Theory and noncommutative
geometry are discussed. Various types of matrix models are reviewed. Most of
interest are IKKT and BFSS models. They are introduced as 0+0 and 1+0
dimensional reduction of Yang--Mills model respectively. They are obtained via
the deformations of string/membrane worldsheet/worldvolume. Classical solutions
leading to noncommutative gauge models are considered.Comment: Lectures given at the Winter School on Modern Trends in

Marine Fish Calendar. 4 Cochin
The article provides details about the marine fish landing at Cochin fisheries harbour, Kerala during the period 1981-1985. It was found that the majority of the landing was contributed by purse seine followed by trawlers, drift gill nets, boat seines, hooks and lines etc
Perfect Fluid Theory and its Extensions
We review the canonical theory for perfect fluids, in Eulerian and Lagrangian
formulations. The theory is related to a description of extended structures in
higher dimensions. Internal symmetry and supersymmetry degrees of freedom are
incorporated. Additional miscellaneous subjects that are covered include
physical topics concerning quantization, as well as mathematical issues of
volume preserving diffeomorphisms and representations of Chern-Simons terms (=
vortex or magnetic helicity).Comment: 3 figure
Topics in Noncommutative Geometry Inspired Physics
In this review article we discuss some of the applications of noncommutative
geometry in physics that are of recent interest, such as noncommutative
many-body systems, noncommutative extension of Special Theory of Relativity
kinematics, twisted gauge theories and noncommutative gravity.Comment: New references added, Published online in Foundations of Physic
