Modellazione meccanica e analisi delle prestazioni richieste agli attuatori elettromeccanici in un sistema steer-by-wire per autoveicoli

Abstract Considering the great researching impulse of the automotive industry in the direction of developing assisted driving systems and electronic trajectory control (steer - by - wire), also in universities the calling is heard towards proposing studies in this widely innovative field. Here a comprehensive research is presented with the purpose of producing the first important instrument to overtake every technical problem. Moving from a quite rigorous study of the vehicle dynamics and its analytical formulation, some of the control techniques are presented, and eventually the main specifications regarding the electro-mechanic actuators used to direct the wheels are qualitatively discussed. A number of electric actuators that fits perfectly the required specifications are also examined. Riassunto analitico Dato la notevole spinta di ricerca del settore automotive in direzione dello sviluppo di sistemi di guida servoassistita del veicolo e di controllo della traiettoria (steer - by - wire), anche in ambito universitario si avverte l'esigenza di effettuare studi in questo settore fortemente innovativo. A questo scopo si propone un lavoro di ricerca al fine di fornire il primo strumento utile nell'affrontare ogni problema, cioè la sua visione globale. Partendo da uno studio sufficientemente rigoroso della dinamica dell'autoveicolo e della sua modellazione matematica, si esaminano alcune delle tecniche di controllo sviluppate e infine si definiscono qualitativamente le specifiche degli attuatori elettromeccanici adibiti al direzionamento delle ruote. Vengono anche presentati particolari tipi di attuatori elettrici che soddisfano nel migliore dei modi le specifiche richieste

Young Adult Literature: strategie traduttive per la trasposizione del dialogo in Bullied di Jeff Erno

Il presente lavoro verte sulla presentazione del genere young adult literature, in particolare sulle difficoltà incontrate e le strategie adottate nella traduzione della raccolta di racconti dal titolo Bullied, di Jeff Erno. L'elaborato, diviso in due parti, affronta inizialmente il tema del particolare genere della letteratura per ragazzi, passando in rassegna le difficoltà di definizione e le caratteristiche tipiche che lo identificano. Successivamente, il lavoro presenta un breve excursus storico, mostrando come il genere del romanzo per adolescenti sia passato attraverso modalità di produzione e tematiche diverse col passare del tempo, tutte caratteristiche che evidenziano l'influenza che la cultura e la visione del bambino/adolescente hanno sul campo editoriale e letterario. In particolare, una maggiore attenzione è rivolta alla descrizione del romanzo queer per adolescenti, di nascita più recente, proprio per le tematiche trattate, da sempre considerate taboo, specialmente se destinate a un pubblico particolare come quello degli adolescenti. La seconda parte del lavoro di tesi presenta invece il tema della traduzione per ragazzi, in particolare un'analisi più dettagliata del processo traduttivo del libro di Erno, focalizzata soprattutto sulla resa del linguaggio e dello stile, del registro colloquiale parlato e di tutto ciò che comporta: slang, turpiloquio e informalità

A Formal Verification Environment for Distributed Object-Oriented Models

Distributed systems are gaining increasing interest in the research community. The growing adoption of such systems for safety-critical structures demands for a high reliability and thus, for in-depth functional verification. This thesis contributes to the development of a formal environment for the verification of Creol models. Creol is an executable modelling language featuring many aspects which make it very suitable for its employment in distributed, concurrent applications. The major contributions of this work are: the design of a formal specification language for Creol (CSL), the implementation of a front-end supporting inline specifications and its integration in the theorem prover KeY. CSL focuses on providing the user with an abstract way of expressing properties on communication traces between objects. It relies on a compositional proof system which allows the independent verification of object's methods against invariants and operation contracts

Serum gamma-glutamyltransferase fractions in Myotonic Dystrophy type I: Differences with healthy subjects and patients with liver disease.

Objectives: Elevation of serum gamma-glutamyltransferase (GGT), in absence of a clinically significant liver damage, is often found in Myotonic Dystrophy type-1 (DM1). In this study we investigated if a specific GGT fraction pattern is present in DM1. Designs and methods: We compared total and fractional GGT values (b-, m-, s-, f-GGT) among patients with DM1 or liver disease (LD) and healthy subjects (HS). Results: The increase of GGT in DM1 and LD, vs HS, was mainly due to s-GGT (median: 32.7; 66.7; and 7.9 U/L, respectively), and b-GGT (8.5; 18.9; and 2.1 U/L). The subset of DM1 patients matched with HS with corresponding serum GGT showed higher b-GGT (6.0 vs 4.2 U/L). Conclusions: DM1 patients with normal total GGT values showed an alteration of the production and release in the blood of GGT fractions. Since increased s-GGT is also found in LD, a sub-clinical liver damage likely occurs in DM1 subjects apparently free of liver disease
