Up-to-down rectal resection with total mesorectal excision through single-incision laparoscopy: video vignette
Conventional laparoscopy of the rectum has shown advantages over laparotomy with equal oncologic results. Single-incision laparoscopy is worthy of consideration during up-to-down rectal resection because it allows single-access at the site of the temporary ileostomy placed at the end of the procedure. Colorectal anastomotic leakage corrected by transanal laparoscopy
Interest in transanal laparoscopy has increased in the last decade. This approach can allow primary procedures such as polypectomy and total mesorectal excision and the treatment of post-operative complications, like bleeding, leakage and fistula formation
Non-occlusive Mesenteric Ischemia as a Fatal Complication in Acute Pancreatitis: A Case Series.
Vascular complications of severe acute pancreatitis are well known and largely described unlike non-occlusive mesenteric ischemia, which is a rare and potentially fatal complication. Non-occlusive mesenteric ischemia is an acute mesenteric ischemia without thrombotic occlusion of blood vessels, poorly described as a complication of acute pancreatitis.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishe
