Zeta functions for table algebras and fusion rings

We calculate zeta functions for certain orders of rank 33 defined by standard integral table algebras and integral fusion rings that have irrational-valued irreducible characters. The calculations are obtained from explicit calculations of zeta integrals

Strategic planning of organizations on tourism events : a case of Johor

As tourism is one of the fastest growing industries today, thus within the tourism industry events are getting more and more important. People have become more interested in events of all kinds, and will travel far away to participate in events that they find interesting. Events can offer various economic and social benefits for destinations, and therefore destination managers can and should employ events effectively in a tourism role. It has become widely accepted that every community and destination needs to adopt a long-term, strategic approach to event tourism thereby planning and development in order to realize the full tourism potential of events. This study is as a response to the lack of studies on how event tourism strategies are actually used in destinations. The study was directed to Johor tourism organizations, and the aim was to explore how these organizations work strategically with events. The main findings of the study indicate that although tourism organizations have increasingly realized the potential and importance of events, the extent to which events are used strategically in tourism organizations varies. Some tourism organizations have integrated events deep into their overall tourism strategies, and events form their own business area and have their own business strategy. In other cases events are included in the overall tourism strategies, however, the work with events is rather haphazard and other business areas are prioritized. At the end of the study a model that describes how event tourism strategy development in tourism organizations can be seen to follow certain stages is developed

Computing zeta functions of table algebra orders using local zeta integrals

We investigate Solomon's zeta function for orders in the special case of orders generated by the standard basis of an integral table algebra, a special case of which is the integral adjacency algebra of an association scheme. As Solomon's elementary method for computing this zeta function runs into computational difficulties for ranks 33 or more, a more efficient method is desired. We give several examples to illustrate how the local zeta integral approach proposed by Bushnell and Reiner can be applied to compute explicit zeta functions for these orders

In this work, hydrothermal technique and precursor materials obtained from the wastes of filtration unit of gas pressure reduction station were used to create ZnO-Fe2O3 nanocomposite. FT-IR, FE-SEM, XRD and TEM analyzes were used to investigate the properties of the produced nanocomposite. XRD analysis showed the structure of ZnO and Fe2O3 without impurities. The crystal size of ZnO-Fe2O3 nanocomposite was determined to be about 53 nm. FE-SEM images showed a nanocomposite pattern with an approximate diameter of 50 nm. Finally, visual decomposition of anionic and cationic dyes under visible light was used to study the photocatalytic activity of ZnO-Fe2O3 nanocomposite. By exposing a metal halide lamp to light and darkness for 60 minutes and 150 minutes, respectively, it was possible to study the photocatalytic activity of the synthesized nanocomposite in removing anionic and cationic dyes from aqueous medium. In the photocatalytic degradation of anionic and cationic dyes, the following factors were considered as essential variables: pH, initial dye concentration, nanocomposite content and exposure time. In this study, the degradation percentage of anionic and cationic dyes of ZnO-Fe2O3 nanocomposite with a ratio of 0.75:1 was 99.89 and 99.9%, respectively. The amount of band gap was calculated by Tack plot method and electrical conductivity was calculated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, which reduced the band gap. And the resistance increases. Due to the acceleration of charge transfer at the heterogeneous junction surface and the suppression of electron/hole pairs from recombination, the ZnO-Fe2O3 nanocomposite significantly increased the visible light current response
