Bogolyubov approximation for diagonal model of an interacting Bose gas
We study, using the Bogolyubov approximation, the thermodynamic behaviour of
a superstable Bose system whose energy operator in the second-quantized form
contains a nonlinear expression in the occupation numbers operators. We prove
that for all values of the chemical potential satisfying ,
where is the lowest energy value, the system undergoes
Bose--Einstein condensation
Single- and double-drift bunchers as possible injection schemes for the CPS linac
Two bunching schemes are considered in the frame of the CPS Linac, one with a single buncher, the other with a double-drift harmonic buncher. The matching of the beam to the Linac acceptance in six phase-space dimensions is achieved by computer programs in an iterative way: zero current solutions are found first, and then the intensity is progressively raised until 200 mA are trapped into the Linac. The difference of boundary effects between Bose and Fermi systems
In this paper, we show that there exists an essential difference of boundary
effects between Bose and Fermi systems both for Dirichlet and Neumann boundary
conditions: at low temperatures and high densities the influence of the
boundary on the Bose system depends on the temperature but is independent of
the density, but for the Fermi case the influence of the boundary is
independent of the temperature but depends on the density, after omitting the
negligible high-order corrections. We also show that at high temperatures and
low densities the difference of the influence of the boundary between Bose and
Fermi systems appears in the next-to-leading order boundary contribution, and
the leading boundary contribution is independent of the density. Moreover, for
calculating the boundary effects at high temperatures and low densities, since
the existence of the boundary modification causes the standard virial expansion
to be invalid, we introduce a modified virial expansion.Comment: 8 page

Large Deviations in the Superstable Weakly Imperfect Bose Gas
The superstable Weakly Imperfect Bose Gas {(WIBG)} was originally derived to
solve the inconsistency of the Bogoliubov theory of superfluidity. Its
grand-canonical thermodynamics was recently solved but not at {point of} the
{(first order)} phase transition. This paper proposes to close this gap by
using the large deviations formalism and in particular the analysis of the Kac
distribution function. It turns out that, as a function of the chemical
potential, the discontinuity of the Bose condensate density at the phase
transition {point} disappears as a function of the particle density. Indeed,
the Bose condensate continuously starts at the first critical particle density
and progressively grows but the free-energy per particle stays constant until
the second critical density is reached. At higher particle densities, the Bose
condensate density as well as the free-energy per particle both increase

Level IV fugacity model by a continuous time control system.
A continuos time dynamic control system of the "Level IV Fugacity Model" is presented and applied to selected organic chemicals in evaluative environments system. In order to illustrate the numerical solution by this model a discretization is used to calculate the fugacity, concentration and fugacity settling time for a set of three insecticides applied in a hypothetical three compartmental environmental system. The model employs the fugacity concept and treats three bulk compartments: air, water and bottom sediment. Input to the model consists of a description of the environmental, the physical-chemical and reaction properties of the chemical, and emission rates. Expressions in matrix form are included for emissions, advections, reactions, and inter-phase transference. An algorithm to determine the values of the fugacities, concentrations and fugacity settling time is given
Eigenstructure of rank one updated matrices
[EN] The relationship among eigenvalues of a given square matrix A and the rank one updated matrix A+vkq⁎, where vk is an eigenvector of A associated with the eigenvalue λk and q is an arbitrary vector, was described by Brauer in 1952. In this work we study the relations between the Jordan structures of A and A+vkq⁎. More precisely, we analyze the generalized eigenvectors of the updated matrix in terms of the generalized eigenvectors of A, as well as the Jordan chains of the updated matrix. Further, we obtain similar results when we use a generalized eigenvector of A instead of the eigenvector vkSupported by the Spanish DGI grant MTM2013-43678-P.Bru García, R.; Cantó Colomina, R.; Urbano Salvador, AM. Growth and optical properties of GaN/AlN quantum wells
We demonstrate the growth of GaN/AlN quantum well structures by
plasma-assisted molecular-beam epitaxy by taking advantage of the surfactant
effect of Ga. The GaN/AlN quantum wells show photoluminescence emission with
photon energies in the range between 4.2 and 2.3 eV for well widths between 0.7
and 2.6 nm, respectively. An internal electric field strength of
MV/cm is deduced from the dependence of the emission energy on the well width.Comment: Submitted to AP
