Density Fluctuations in the Oscillatory Phase of Nonclassical Inflaton in FRW Universe

Using coherent and squeezed state formalisms of quantum optics for a minimally coupled non-classical inflaton in the FRW mertic is studied, in semiclassical theory of gravity. The leading order solution for the semiclassical Einstein equations in the coherent, squeezed and squeezed vacuum states are obtained perturbatively and are exhibit powerlaw expansion behaviour. The validity of the semiclassical theory is examined in the squeezed vacuum state in the oscillatory phase of the inflaton. The semiclassical theory in the oscillatory phase of the non-classical inflaton holds only if the associated squeezing parameter is much less compared to unity. Quantum fluctuations of the inflaton is also examined in coherent and squeezed state formalisms.Comment: 14 pages, 2 figures, To appear in Int.J.Mod.Phys.

Genetic Diversity Analysis of Couroupita guianensis Aubl.based on RAPD Marker

 Couroupita guianensis Aubl. Commonly known as cannon ball tree, belongs to family Lecythidaceae and widely used in Chinese medicine. C. guianensis is being threatened due to habitat destruction in its native range for human settlement and other development related activities. Native populations of C. guianensis  were collected from different locations of  the India states and characterized through. To study the genetic diversity of C. guianensis  populations we performed RAPD – PCR with several primers. The results are revealed in this study

Genetic diversity analysis of endemic species, Garcinia cambogia Gaertn using randomly amplified Polymorphic DNA markers

Polymerase chain reaction based random amplified polymorphic DNA (PCR-RAPD) markers were employed to assess genetic diversity in eight Garcinia  cambogia  genotypes. Among the 20 random primers used in the present investigation, 9 primers showed polymorphism. A total number of 227 bands were obtained from 9 primers, out of which 225 were polymorphic, showing 99.11% polymorphism. An average of 25.22 bands per primer was scored and average number of polymorphic bands found to be 25. The eight accessions fall into two major clusters. Cluster analysis showed that the red and yellow accessions cannot be regarded as two different varieties. The use of red and yellow fruits for commercial and medicinal purposes, respectively, is purely based on consumer preference.Â

Total RNA Isolation and cDNA synthesis from Bixa orellana bark

Annatto is one of the important natural food colourant widely used in dairy industry. Quality RNA in large quantity is often required in the analysis of gene expression. RNA extraction from samples collected from woody plants is generally complex, and becomes the main limitation to study gene expression, particularly in crops like Bixa orellana. Standard RNA extraction protocols are time consuming, laborious and cannot be adapted for high throughput functional analysis. Therefore a simple and effective protocol for extraction of high quality total RNA from bark tissue of woody stem was achieved using the RNeasy plant mini kit (Qiagen, USA). The extracted RNA was successfully converted into double-stranded cDNA using the SMATer cDNA synthesis kit (Clontech, USA) which is based on the Switching Mechanism At 5’ End of RNA Transcript (SMART) technology. The integrity of the total RNA used for synthesizing double stranded cDNA was assessed agarose gel electrophoresis and by PCR. As expected, the PCR product contained the full coding sequence plus 69 and 196 bp of 5’ and 3’ UTRs respectively. The double-stranded cDNA was used successfully for creating a SSH cDNA library. The cDNA could also be useful for a number of other applications like cDNA library construction, EST analysis, RACE and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)

Silent meningioma: a cause of quadriperesis in total knee arthroplasty

Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is a treatment for end stage osteoarthritis.  Majority of them in the older age group with associated co-morbidities and increased the risk for stroke. Asymptomatic meningiomas may become symptomatic and presents with variable symptoms depending on the size and location of the tumour. We report a case of a 58 years old lady who underwent bilateral TKA under combined spinal epidural anaesthesia with an uneventful post-operative course with post-operative analgesia. Patient developed dysphasia and weakness in upper and lower limbs. Following computed tomography of the brain revealed a meningioma in the falx region. Patient treated with steroid and underwent elective surgery for meningioma without any complications. Asymptomatic brain tumours can become symptomatic after surgery and urgent initiation of neurologic evaluation and strong recommendation to initiate intracranial pressure management oriented therapy in time.

IMPLEMENTATION OF PIPELINED DES USING VERILOG

An implementation of the Data Encryption Standard (DES) algorithm is described. Protection of data during transmission or while in storage may be necessary to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of the information represented by the data. The algorithms uniquely define the mathematical steps required to transform data into a cryptographic cipher and also to transform the cipher back to the original form.
