In different partial projects the exchange processes of the wadden sea of Sylt have been investigated. The existing maps have been studied and reproduced as a basis for the evaluation. A material balance was established and details of the special morpho-dynamics have been considered. The results of the quantitative relief analysis are important basic data for the description of the material balance of the wadden sea.
