The impact of service quality on customer satisfaction and repurchase intention in the turkish banking sector: an analysis using structural equation modeling
The aim of this paper is two-fold: firstly, to assess customers’ expectations and perceptions towards the quality of services provided by private banks in Turkey and, secondly, to investigate the relationships between service quality, satisfaction, and repurchase intention for bank customers through a structural equation model. Data were collected by face to face interviews with 500 customers of a private bank listed in world’s most valuable 100 banking brands using the SERVQUAL method. Results revealed that customers’ perceptions of service quality fell short of their expectations, with the responsiveness dimension having the largest gap and the tangibles dimension having the smallest gap. Moreover, although the service quality did not have a direct effect on customer repurchase intention, it did have an indirect influence on customer repurchase intention via customer satisfaction. Results confirmed the mediator effect of customer satisfaction
Efficacy of periarticular injection applied trough knee other than posterior capsule in simultaneous bilateral total knee arthroplasty
WOS: 000385436400008PubMed ID: 26566320Background: We aimed to evaluate periarticular multimodal drug injection (PMDI) in bilateral total knee arthroplasty. Methods: In 154 knees of 77 patients, PMDI was administered intraoperatively through the regions other than posterior capsule to one knee; other knee was control. Results: Drug-injected knees had lower visual analog scale scores and higher passive range of motion postoperatively (p < 0.05). The active straight leg raise was higher in drug-injected knees (47 [61%] vs 19 [24.7%], p < 0.001). Conclusions: PMDI is a safe and effective method of early postoperative pain management in total knee arthroplasty when applied through regions other than posterior capsule
Genel Ortaöğretim Okullarının Büyüklüğü ile Okul İklimi Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi
The purpose of this study is to determine the relationships between school size and school climate in public high schools in Turkey. Survey model was used and the data was collected from 6,755 participants who are working and studying in 2009-2010 school year, in fifteen different city centre public high schools. Data was collected by "Perception of School Climate Scale (PSCS)" from 260 administrators, 1,084 teachers and 5,411 students. Results revealed that communication and human relations, problem behaviors and the sense of belonging to school varied depending on school size. Small schools surpassed medium and large schools in terms of communication and human relations. However, as the number of student’s increased, the rate of problem behaviors also increased. Similarly, the sense of belonging in small schools was more intense in comparison to medium and large schools. According to the results of the study, the reduction of the schools size would be appropriate.
Adolescent in conservative treatment of avulsion fracture of ınferior anterior ıliac spine (two cases report)
Spina Iliaka Anterior Inferior (SIAI) avülsiyon kırıkları pelvik kemiklerin çok sık görülmeyen
yaralanmalarındandır. Genelde futbolcularda sut çekme esnasında tanımlanmıstır. Olgularımızın ikisi de amatör
futbol onayan sporculardı. Her iki olguda futbol maçı esnasında sut çektikten sonra baslayan kalça agrısı
nedeniyle poliklinigimize basvurdular. Her iki olgudada SIAI avülsiyon kırıgı saptandı.
Avulsion fractures of spina iliaca anterior inferior (SIAI) are among the infrequent injuries of pelvic bones, which
are usually described during shooting in football players. Both of our cases were amateur football players,
presented to our clinic with pelvic pain which began just after shooting during a football game. Both cases were
detected to have SIAI avulsion fractures. They were offered rest for 4 weeks with non-weight bearing plus nonsteroidal
anti-inflammatory drugs. At the end of four weeks, physical examination revealed complete and
painless passive range of motion of hip. Upon further physical examination at the end of sixth weeks, active,
painless and complete range of motion were achieved. In our study, we concluded that results of conservative
treatment were satisfactory in avulsion fractures of SIAI that may commonly be encountered in football players
Management of persistent coccydynia with transrectal manipulation: Results of a combined procedure
WOS: 000431533600030PubMed ID: 29234884We compared the results of manual therapy combined with steroid injection with single steroid injection in the treatment of persistent coccydynia. Combined therapy was performed in 21 patients (Group 1) and steroid injection in 23 patients (Group 2). We compared two groups and investigated the combined therapy group in details. Patients were classified according to the underlying cause, BMI, anatomic type of coccyx and duration of symptoms (<6 or 6 months). Mean age was 30.5 years at the time of procedures. Mean followup time was 27.8 months. VAS scores were decreased in both groups but combined therapy group had much more better results. Complete pain relief was achieved in 61.9% of patients in Group 1 whereas it was only 17.4% in Group 2. In 23.8% of Group 1, the VAS score was significantly decreased but the feeling of uncomfortability persisted. This was 73.9% in Group 2. We had no relapse in Group 1 but in Group 2 the relapse rate was 56.5%. Underlying cause, body mass index, anatomic type of coccyx and duration of symptoms had no effect on results. Manual therapy combined with steroid injection would be an alternative method in case of persistent coccydynia. It is a safe and easy option before surgical treatment

Occurrence and diversity of black-foot pathogens on asymptomatic nursery-produced grapevines in Turkiye
[EN] Black-foot (BF) disease of grapevines in nurseries and young vineyards is caused by soil-borne Cylindrocarpon-like asexual morphs. They can be found both in symptomatic and asymptomatic vines, being spread to new grape growing areas during vineyard establishment. In this study, 42 grapevine nurseries located in different geographical regions in Turkiye were surveyed in 2021 to determine the presence of BF pathogens on asymptomatic marketable plants. Black-foot fungi were isolated from the roots or basal ends of asymptomatic dormant vines in 39 of the nurseries (92.9%). The percentage of isolation of BF pathogens ranged from 1.4 to 51.4% (average 18.4%). Seven species: Cylindrodendrum alicantinum, Cylindrocladiella peruviana, Dactylonectria macrodidyma, D. novozelandica, D. torresensis, Ilyonectria liriodendri, and I. robusta were identified based on DNA sequencing of histone H3 gene and phylogenetic analyses, D. torresensis being the most frequent. From these species Ca. peruviana, D. novozelandica and I. robusta were detected for the first time on grapevines in Turkiye. Pathogenicity tests on 1103P rootstock cuttings revealed that all species significantly decreased root biomass and increased root disease severity index, when compared with the non-inoculated control, D. novozelandica being the most virulent. Pathogenicity of Cm. alicantinum to grapevine was confirmed for the first time, thus this species should be included as causal agent of BF of grapevines. These findings point out that BF pathogens are highly prevalent in the nurseries and could represent a serious threat for Turkish viticulture.Akgül, DS.; Yildiz, M.; Savas, NG.; Bülbül, I.; Özarslandan, M.; León Santana, M.; Armengol Fortí, J.
