The New Creation according to Is. 65

Behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former shall not be remembered nor come into mind, Is. 65, 17. Of what kind of creation and of what time is the Lord speaking here? Does the new creation mean the Christian Church, which began when our Savior established the New Covenant through His redemptive work and the pouring out of the Holy Ghost, so that the new creation is a specific name for the New Testament Messianic kingdom? Or does it denote a certain period of Christ’s kingdom here on earth, the so-called millennium, a period of one thousand years of glory? Or does the Lord in the words quoted above give a promise of what He will do after this present world has been destroyed? Each of these three views has its adherents in the Church. Which of them is correct

The bulletin is preliminary in character and is offered now simply in order to meet the urgent calls for all information concerning our clays that is at present available. A more comprehensive report, in which not only the geology and distribution of our clays, but also their technological values, will be given, will follow in due course. Data for such a bulletin are being gathered as rapidly as circumstances will permit. Among the clays upon which more field work is required are some of those associated with the coals and Conglomerate Measures of the Eastern Coalfield; those in other Lower Carbon­iferous regions than are included in this bulletin; those on the western rim of the Ordovician (Lower Silurian), and in parts of the Western Coalfield; while those of the Jackson\u27s Purchase region are to be studied in greater detail. It is believed that another year of field work will yield results sufficient to develop the lines along which technological work may be most profit­ably carried

HIV-infektsioon Eestis

HIV-infektsiooni diagnostikat Eestis alustati 1987. aastal. Infektsiooni kulu võib jaotada epideemiaeelseks ja epideemiaperioodiks. Kuni 2000. aastani oli Eesti HIV-infektsiooni väikse esinemissagedusega riik. 2000. aastast olukord muutus seoses nakkuse epideemilise levikuga noorte süstivate narkomaanide hulgas. 2005. aastaks on kokku avastatud üle 4500 HIV-positiivse isiku. Nakkus on väljumas narkomaanide ringist, sageneb heteroseksuaalsete nakatumisjuhtude arv, probleemiks on muutunud HIV-positiivsed rasedad. Artiklis on antud ülevaade HIV-infektsiooni levimusest Eestis aastatel 1987–2004 Tallinna Merimetsa Haigla (2001. aastast alates AS Lääne-Tallinna Keskhaigla nakkuskeskus) ja HIV-nakkuse referentslaboratooriumi andmete alusel.
