Bounds on charged higgs boson in the 2HDM type III from Tevatron
We consider the Two Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) of type III which leads to
Flavour Changing Neutral Currents (FCNC) at tree level. In the framework of
this model we can use an appropriate form of the Yukawa Lagrangian that makes
the type II model limit of the general type III couplings apparent. This way is
useful in order to compare with the experimental data which is model dependent.
The analytical expressions of the partial width are
derived and we compare with the data available at this energy range. We examine
the limits on the new parameters from the validness of

The Anomalous Magnetic Moment of the Muon and Higgs-Mediated Flavor Changing Neutral Currents
In the two-Higgs doublet extension of the standard model, flavor-changing
neutral couplings arise naturally. In the lepton sector, the largest such
coupling is expected to be $\mu-\tau-\phi#. We consider the effects of this
coupling on the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. The resulting bound on
the coupling, unlike previous bounds, is independent of the value of other
unknown couplings. It will be significantly improved by the upcoming E821

LENS® and SFF: Enabling Technologies for Optimized Structures
Optimized, lightweight, high-strength structures are needed in many applications from aerospace
to automotive. In pursuit of such structures, there have been proposed analytical solutions and
some specialized FEA solutions for specific structures such as automobile frames. However,
generalized 3D optimization methods have been unavailable for use by most designers.
Moreover, in the cases where optimized structural solutions are available, they are often hollow,
curving, thin wall structures that cannot be fabricated by conventional manufacturing methods.
Researchers at Sandia National Laboratories and the University of Rhode Island teamed to solve
these problems. The team has been pursuing two methods of optimizing models for generalized
loading conditions, and also has been investigating the methods needed to fabricate these
structures using Laser Engineered Net Shaping™ (LENS®) and other rapid prototyping
methods. These solid freeform fabrication (SFF) methods offer the unique ability to make
hollow, high aspect ratio features out of many materials. The manufacturing development
required for LENS to make these complex structures has included the addition of rotational axes
to Sandia’s LENS machine bringing the total to 5 controlled axes. The additional axes have
required new efforts in process planning. Several of the unique structures that are only now
possible through the use of SFF technology are shown as part of the discussion of this exciting
new application for SFF.Mechanical Engineerin
Determining the top-antitop and Couplings of a Neutral Higgs Boson of Arbitrary CP Nature at the NLC
The optimal procedure for extracting the coefficients of different components
of a cross section which takes the form of unknown coefficients times functions
of known kinematical form is developed. When applied to \epem\to t\anti
t+Higgs production at \rts=1\tev and integrated luminosity of 200\fbi, we
find that the t\anti t\toHiggs CP-even and CP-odd couplings and, to a lesser
extent, the Higgs (CP-even) coupling can be extracted with reasonable
errors, assuming the Higgs sector parameter choices yield a significant
production rate. Indeed, the composition of a mixed-CP Higgs eigenstate can be
determined with sufficient accuracy that a SM-like CP-even Higgs boson can be
distinguished from a purely CP-odd Higgs boson at a high level of statistical

Transverse Tau Polarization in Decays of the Top and Bottom Quarks in the Weinberg Model of CP Non-conservation
We show that the transverse polarization asymmetry of the -lepton in
the decay is extremely sensitive to CP violating
phases arising from the charged Higgs exchange in the Weinberg model of CP
non-conservation. Qualitatively, the polarization asymmetries are enhanced over
rate or energy asymmetries by a factor of . Thus for optimal values of the parameters the method requires top pairs to be observable rather than needed for rate or energy
asymmetries. We also examine polarization in b decays via and find that it can also be very effective in constraining the CP

Lepton Flavor Violation in the Two Higgs Doublet Model type III
We consider the Two Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) of type III which leads to
Flavour Changing Neutral Currents (FCNC) at tree level in the leptonic sector.
In the framework of this model we can have, in principle, two situations: the
case (a) when both doublets acquire a vacuum expectation value different from
zero and the case (b) when only one of them is not zero. In addition, we show
that we can make two types of rotations for the flavor mixing matrices which
generates four types of lagrangians, with the rotation of type I we recover the
case (b) from the case (a) in the limit , and with the
rotation of type II we obtain the case (b) from (a) in the limit Moreover, two of the four possible lagrangians correspond to the models
of types I and II plus Flavor Changing (FC) interactions. The analitical
expressions of the partial lepton number violating widths and are derived for the cases (a) and (b) and both
types of rotations.In all cases these widths go asymptotically to zero in
the decoupling limit for all Higgses. We present from our analysis upper bounds
for the flavour changing transition and we show that such bounds

QED corrections to isospin-related decay rates of charged and neutral B mesons
We estimate the isospin-violating QED radiative corrections to the
charged-to-neutral ratios of the decay rates for B^+ and B^0 in non-leptonic B
meson decays. In particular, these corrections are potentially important for
precision measurement of the charged-to-neutral production ratio of B meson in
e^+e^- annihilation. We calculate explicitly the QED corrections to the ratios
of two different types of decay rates \Gamma(B^+ \to J/\psi K^+)/\Gamma(B^0 \to
J/\psi K^0) and \Gamma(B^+ \to D^+_S \bar{D^0})/\Gamma(B^0 \to D^+_S D^-)
taking into account the form factors of the mesons based on the vector meson
dominance model, and compare them with the results obtained for the point-like

Polarized Single Top Production at Leptonic Colliders from Broken R Parity Interactions Incorporating CP Violation
The contribution from the R parity violating interactions in the associated
production of a top quark with a charm antiquark is examined for high energy
leptonic colliders. We concentrate on the reactions associated with the
semileptonic top decay. A set of characteristic dynamical distributions for the
signal events is evaluated and the results contrasted against those from the
standard model W-boson pair production background. Next, we turn to a study of
a CP-odd observable, associated with the top spin, which leads to an asymmetry
in the energy distribution of the emitted charged leptons for the pair of
CP-conjugate final states, and . A
non vanishing asymmetry arises from a CP-odd phase, embedded in the R parity
violating coupling constants, through interference terms between the R parity

Anomalous Chromomagnetic Moments of Quarks and Large Transverse Energy Jets
We consider the jet cross sections for gluons coupling to quarks with an
anomalous chromomagnetic moment. We then apply this to the deviation and bounds
from QCD found in the CDF and D0 Fermilab data, respectively, to find a range
of possible values for the anomalous moments. The quadratic and quartic terms
in the anomalous moments can fit to the rise of a deviation with transverse
energy. Since previous analyses have been done on the top quark total cross
section, here we assume the same moment on all quarks except the top and find
the range TeV for the
CDF data. Assuming the anomalous moment is present only on a charm or bottom
quark which is pair produced results in a range TeV. The magnitudes here are compared with anomalous magnetic moments
that could account for and found to be in the same general range, as well
as not inconsistent with LEP and SLD bounds on .Comment: REVTeX, 11 pages, 2 postscript figure
Implications of a W^+W^- (ZZ) - Higgs - t c-bar$ Interaction for e^+e^- -> t c-bar \nu_e \nu_e-bar, t c-bar e^+ e^-, t c-bar Z and for t -> cW^+W^-, cZZ in a Two Higgs Doublet Model
The Standard Model with one extra Higgs doublet may give rise to enhanced
TREE-LEVEL flavor-changing-scalar coupling of a neutral Higgs to a pair of
top-charm quarks. This coupling may drive a large TREE-LEVEL effective
W^+W^-(ZZ) - Higgs - t c-bar interaction. As a result we find that the
reactions e^+e^- -> t c-bar \nu_e \nu_e-bar, t c-bar e^+ e^-, t c-bar Z and the
two rare top decays t -> cW^+W^-, t -> cZZ become very sensitive probes of such
an effective interaction. The most promising ones, e^+e^- -> t c-bar \nu_e
\nu_e-bar, t c-bar e^+ e^-, may yield several hundreds and up to thousands of
such events at the Next Linear Collider with a center of mass energy of
\sqrt{s}=0.5 - 2 TeV if the mass of the lightest neutral Higgs is a few hundred
GeV. The rare decays t -> cW^+W^- and t -> cZZ may be accessible at the LHC if
the mass of the lightest neutral Higgs lies in the narrow window 150 GeV < m_h
