    This study aims to determine the effect of various cage base materials on broiler production performance. Production performances observed in the study were (feed consumption, body weight gain, and feed conversion). Using 90 broilers from DOC 1 day old from PT. Wonokoyo Jaya Corporindoyang was applied into 3 treatments and 6 replications consisted of 5 broilers. Chicken maintenance is carried out 35 days. The treatments used in the study are as follows: P1 (giving pedestal of candan gsekam padi), P2 (giving treatment for wooden shed cage bed), and P3 (giving sand cage bed). This data is a complete randomized design and then analyzed using variance analysis (ANOVA) and if significantly different then continued with multiple further tests (Duncan). The conclusion of this study showed that giving broiler cage material was not significantly different (P> 0.05) on broiler production performance which included feed consumption, body weight gain, and feed conversion

    The research was carried out at Mr. Khoiri’s farm in Gledug Village, Sanankulon District, Blitar Regency. This study aims to determine the feasibility of the dairy cattle business in Mr. Khoiri’s farm, Gledug Village, Sanankulon District, Blitar Regency. This research material used 30 cows owned by Mr. Khoiri. The method used in this research is a field study, by collecting data, interviewing with a list of questions and observations (observations). The feasibility of Mr. Khoiri’s dairy farming business for three years obtained an B/C value of 0,64 and R/C 1,6. NPV value of Rp. 377.044.328 and IRR of 6,16%. The conclusion that can be drawn based on research is that Mr. Khoiri’s dairy farm bussines is feasible to be developed because the NPV  value is > 1 (positive). Value Benefit Cost Rasio, Return Cost Rasio, and Internal Rate Return > 1 (positive)

    This research aimed is to determine the effect of Secang extract addition and sardinella fish oil as feed additive on eggs performance and production of quail. The 98 quails and 10 weeks divided into 4 groups with unequal replication using the completely randomized design. The treatment which are P0 (based ration), P1 (based ration + 0,2% secang extract + 4% sardinella fish oil), P2 (based ration + 0,4% secang extract + 4% sardinella fish oil), P3 (based ration + 0,6% secang extract + 4% sardinella fish oil). The parameters observed were length storage time of egg, egg cholesterol rate, feed consumption, egg weight, hen day production, egg mass, feed conversion and mortality. Data were analyzed by ANOVA and Duncan’s analysis. The results showed that Secang extract addition and sardinella fish oil were increase egg cholesterol (P<0.05) and not significantly (P>0.05) on length storage time of egg and production of quail

    This research was conducted in the laboratory of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry at Balitar Islamic University.The purpose of this study is to know the result of the addition of pulp flour tofu to organoleptic test (smell, texture, color and flavor).The benefits of this research is the author hopes can be an input for the reader about chicken nuggets with the addition of pulp flour tofu as a good food, there are animal proteins and vegetable proteins. Increase the value of pulp know as a product of nugget. The material used is a nugget with the addition of pulp flour tofu 0%, 7.5%, 12.5%, and 17.5%. The method used is experimentation, with this study there are variable control and variable experiments as a reference between the initial state and the status of the treatment.The results of this study indicate a very real effect on the smell and taste of chicken nuggets by adding tofu pulp. the preferred odor of nuggets is the P0 treatment (0% tofu waste flour), while the color of the nugget favored by the panelists is the P1 treatment (7.5% tofu waste flour). Significantly different in texture with P0 and P3 (0% and 17.5% tofu pulp) and not significantly different in the color of chicken nuggets with the addition of tofu pulp with the most preferred treatment was P1 (7.5% tofu pulp

    DIFFERENCES OF LEAVES SAMBILOTO (Andrographis paniculata Sp) EXTRACT ON THE PERFORMANCE AND MORTALITY OF LAYING BREED CHICKEN ON STARTER PHASE

    The purpose of this study is to know the difference of sambiloto leaves (Andrographis paniculata Sp) extract on mortality and performance of the starter phase laying hens. Two hundred and forty laying hens (ages 1-6 weeks) were used in this experiment. It is divided into 4 groups and 6 replays. Treatment is divided into control P0, P1 + 2 gr / kg feed, P2 + 4 gr / kg feed and P3 6gr / kg feed. The observed variables are Mortality, Feed Consumption, Feed Weight Growth and Feed Conversion. Real different Mortality (P>0.05) increased to 10.7037 (P0,P2 and P3) while decreased compared to 10 (P1). Feed Consumption differed very noticeablely (P>0.01) decreased to 8,908 gr/ecr (P3) compared to control (P0), as did 9,438 gr/ecr (P1) and 9,550 gr/ekr (P2). Weight Growth is not affected by treatment (P>0.05). It is very different Feed Conversions (P>0.01) decreased to 3,684 (P3) compared to 4,003 (P2) as well as 3,956 (P0) and 3,978 (P1).     The objective of this research was know to the effect and optimize level of azolla microphylla used in ration on dry and organic matter digestibility for meat duck. This research use 100 meat duck  aged 4 days, randomly divided into 5 treatment combinations Completely Randomized Design (CRD) wich divided into five treatment and treatment each (P0, P1, P2, P3,P4) consist of four replication. Each replication used 5 meat ducks. The result of this research in each treatment (P0,P1,P2,P3,P4) on the largest dry matter intake at P0 3523,38, lowest at P4 2998,36 g/head/period. The largest organic matter intake at P0 3257,65, the lowest at P4 2704,14 g/head/period. The largest dry matter digestibility in P2 81,66%, lowest at 79,19% and the largest organic matter digestibility at P3 95,23%, lowest at P0 93,15%. The conclusion in addition of Azolla microphylla affected dry matter consumption, organic matter consumption, and dry matter digestibility, but had no effect on organic matter digestibility

    PERBEDAAN JARAK TANAM TERHADAP PRODUKTIVITAS RATOON RUMPUT GAJAH (Pennisetum purpureum Cv. Mott)

    This study was to determine the effect of plant spacing on ratoon productivity elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum Cv. Mott). The experiment method was conducted experimentally by experiment with diffent spacing on Ratoon Elephant Grass (Pennisetum purpureum Cv. Mott).The desigh used was a complete randomized design (RAL) with 4 treatments and 6 replications, ie P0 (50 x 100) cm, P1 (75 x 100) cm, P2 (100 x 100) cm and P3 ( 125 x 100) cm. From result showed that P0 (50 x 100) cm yielded the highest number of tillers, which was 15.78 piece and followed by P1 (75 x100) cm yielding plant height of 86.37 cm, P2 (100 x 100) cm of 679.11 gr in fresh weight and P3 (125 x 100) cm of 156.96 piece on the number of leaves. According to the results of the study can be concluded  that the spacing is not significant (P>0.05) on Ratoon Elephant Grass. Need further research on the influence of devoliation, weed control and high influence of low area of Raton Elephat Grass (Pennisetum purpureum Cv. Mott)

    PERBEDAAN PENAMBAHAN ONGGOK TERFERMENTASI TERHADAP PENAMPILAN PRODUKSI ITIK PEDAGING

    This research was aimed to determine the influence of the addition of feremented cassava waste by Trichoderma viride fungus towards the appearance of duck meat production. The material used in this research was 192 types of hybrid ducks at the age of 14 days. The given treatments were: 1 feed treatment was 100. 2 feed treatment was 95%, fermented cassava waste was 5%. 3 feed treatment was 90%, fermented cassava waste was 10%. 4 feed treatment was 85%, fermented cassava waste was 15%. The observed variables were feed consumption, body weight gain, and feed conversion. The data were processed using complete random design analysis. If there was a significant difference, Duncan’s follow-up test will be conducted. The research result showed feed consumption (P<0.05), body weight gain (P>0.01), feed conversion (P>0.01).     PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN TEPUNG DAUN BELIMBING MANIS (Averrhoa carambola L.) SEBAGAI SUBSTITUSI PAKAN KELINCI TERHADAP PERFORMA KELINCI HYLA HYCOLE

    Research data collection was carried out from 12 June to 24 July 2019 at Ridho Rabbitry farm, Nglegok sub-district, Blitar district, East Java. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of sweet starfruit leaf flour (Averrhoa carambola L.) as a substitute for peanut skin on body weight gain and feed conversion of rabbit hyla hycole. The research material used 24 hyla hycole rabbits aged 12 weeks were used in this study with rabbit body weights 1900-2550 g/head, which were divided into four treatments and three replications. Experimental design with Randomized Block Design (RBD). The results showed that the average treatment, namely P0, P1, P2 and P3, respectively for feed consumption 127.33; 128.67; 124.67 and 128.33 (grams/head/day), weight gain 69.17; 80.00; 69.17 and 118.33 (grams/head/week), feed conversion 13.47; 11.30; 12.01 and 7.60.The results of this studies shows that the use of sweet starfruit leaf flour (Averrhoa carambola L.) as a substitution of peanut shells to a level of 15% has no significant effect (P> 0.05), but can affect the performance of hyla hycole rabbits including consumption feed, weight gain and feed conversion and do not have a negative impact on rabbits so that sweet starfruit leaf flour (Averrhoa carambola L) can be used as a substitute for peanut shells
