AbstractThis article presents a stage of a quality management model in higher education institutions based on business process modelling. The paper points out the importance of graduates’ satisfaction in assessing quality in universities and looks at a key development, that have shaped the idea of correlating the graduates’ requirements regarding the developed specific and transversal competencies during the study with the required competences in the labor market. On the basis of the existing literature evidence and on the performed results, the paper proposes a business process management model by outlining the importance of understanding graduates’ requirements, their needs and expectations

This paper presents an automatic workflow framed in a gerontechnology solution, as part of the Active and Assisted Living (AAL) platform in Mobile@Old project. Our solution aims to increase or preserve cognitive functions, to track medication and coordinate physical activity through an exercising game (exergame). The exergame is customized according to each elderly person’s reactions and specificities. The workflow involves doctors, physiotherapists, the elderly person and their caregivers, in an ecosystem designed to ensure well-being and independence

The development of globalization and Internet technologies led to big changes in daily business activities and forced managers to reconsider the way they conduct organizations. Taking the managerial concept of the Extended Enterprise as starting point, we rely the present model proposal on its characteristics as a group of entities chained to one another into the business process for sharing knowledge, data, resources and collaborate in order to create a product and/or service and combine it with the Business Process Innovation approach, which refers to changing the global supply chain using advanced Enterprise Information Systems and the advantages offered by the Semantic Web Technology. The present paper presents a model of an online B2B matching platform capable to identify new possible partners and inject them in an extended organization’s supply chain process. The solution will work based on specific algorithms for Semantic Web Matching. It will provide support for decision making and suitable robust supply chains identification for a given company

AN ASSESSMENT OF THE INFLUENCE OF ELASTIC, OR PLASTIC, DEFORMATION, ON THE MEASUREMENT ERRORS

The reason for choosing this theme is to emphasize the phenomena that occur in a set (measuring device) due to external environmental factors and forces that errors involved in the measurement process. These factors influence the measurement results and their presence can not be seen with the naked eye. Thanks to the progress of last years and helping on software, advanced design, and analysis, the designer have handy ever since the concept of a device able to check the resistance to stresses and deformations that may occur in a structure, model or assembly. Following that verification is able to more easily decide how to strengthen the structure needed, more robust modeling benchmarks or the use of harder materials. These issues are highlighted in this paper and illustrated by finite element analysis of the structure of a measuring device using Ansys software

The Internet has become a place where millions ofpeople around the globe access a vast amount of information. In the last years, a new technological revolution took placethrough the development of the mobile technology - includingmobile phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), andhandheld computers. This modern revolution provides aninnovative medium of communication and internet access.Consumers and organizations have benefited and aresupposed to benefit even more in the future from the featuresof m-commerce technologies through these mobileapplications, such as mobile websites, advertising, portalaccess points, information and news services, entertainmentand games, education and training etc. On the other hand, this greatly increases heterogeneity and raises issues for Websites that try to adapt to users preferences and needs. Thepurpose of this article is to develop a deeper understanding ofadaptability and personalization techniques over the internet, subordinated to the so called “delivery context”, whichdesignates the hardware and software context from which acertain user accesses a Web site. The companies, in theircompetition for consumers’ dollars are more and more awarethat it is no longer sufficient to just place the products orservices offers onto the Internet and expect the sales to rise. The e-commerce website designing is undergoing a significantrevolution. It has become an important strategy to designwebsites that are able to provide contents that are matched tothe customer’s technology, needs or preferences
