    This study aimed at exploring the implementation of the nation\u27s character values in relation to the implementation of inclusive education in SD Negeri 8 Talang Kelapa. Currently the moral crisis occured in various countries and also in Indonesia. It need to strengthen character education to overcome this problem. Education in Indonesia also aimed at shaping the human character of Indonesia to be well manifested with the behavior and attitude of living in accordance with the soul of Pancasila. This nation will progress if its education is able to change the character of the nation that is not good to the noble values of Pancasila. Inclusive education as an education that accommodates students with diverse backgrounds, including those with special needs, and learning together in one class.     Development of Empirical Method to Calculate Natural Gas Pipelines Rupture Exposure Radius

    PresentationNatural Gas pipeline location classification are designed following an approach similar to ASME B31.8, which considers segmenting the pipeline length and count the population in each segment within a given distance from the pipeline (width of segment). ASMEB 31.8 utilizes fixed distance of 400m for the segment width, while other operators use the pipeline Rupture Exposure Radius (RER). This is a distance determined by the consequences modeling for pipeline full rupture. Since, the population density within the segment width affects the design factors of the pipeline, i.e. wall thickness requirements, over-predicting the distance can have significant cost implications. Some operators use default RER values on conservative estimates, while industrial best practices allow for detailed dispersion to calculate representative RER distances. Detailed dispersion modeling was performed for a large number of Natural Gas Pipeline scenarios, and an empirical formula was developed to estimate the RER for these pipelines as a function of the pipeline diameter and pressure. The dispersion calculations results show that the default RER values current used by some operators are very conservative, and that the cost of pipeline design/construction can be optimized by using the empirical formula developed in this work. The formula, which produces the RER value in terms of the distance from the pipeline to the point of 1⁄2 lower flammable limit is easy to use, and accurately represents the dispersion results. This eliminates the need to using sophisticated modeling software/tools to assess the RER values of Natural Gas pipelines. The formula also uses minimum number of data/information available about the pipelines (diameter and pressure only) increasing its effectiveness as a tool replacing the modeling software. In addition, for pipeline projects, lower RER distances result in more flexibility in route selection, lower pipeline location class and hence thinner wall thicknesses, less emergency isolation valves required and longer span between sectionalizing valves, which all translate to cost savings and reduces potential sources of leak (sectionalizing valves)

    Two-to-one resonant multi-modal dynamics of horizontal/inclined cables. Part II : internal resonance activation, reduced-order models and nonlinear normal modes

    Resonant multi-modal dynamics due to planar 2:1 internal resonances in the nonlinear, finite-amplitude, free vibrations of horizontal/inclined cables are parametrically investigated based on the second-order multiple scales solution in Part I [1]. The already validated kinematically non-condensed cable model accounts for the effects of both non-linear dynamic extensibility and system asymmetry due to inclined sagged configurations. Actual activation of 2:1 resonances is discussed, enlightening on a remarkable qualitative difference of horizontal/inclined cables as regards non-linear orthogonality properties of normal modes. Based on the analysis of modal contribution and solution convergence of various resonant cables, hints are obtained on proper reduced-order model selections from the asymptotic solution accounting for higher-order effects of quadratic nonlinearities. The dependence of resonant dynamics on coupled vibration amplitudes, and the significant effects of cable sag, inclination and extensibility on system non-linear behavior are highlighted, along with meaningful contributions of longitudinal dynamics. The spatio-temporal variation of non-linear dynamic configurations and dynamic tensions associated with 2:1 resonant non-linear normal modes is illustrated. Overall, the analytical predictions are validated by finite difference-based numerical investigations of the original partial-differential equations of motion

    Synthesis and biological assessment of new benzothiazolopyridine and benzothiazolyl- triazole derivatives as antioxidant and antibacterial agents

    ABSTRACT. A novel series of benzothiazolopyridine derivatives was synthesized via interaction of -2-(benzothiazol-2-yl)-3-(4-chlorophenyl)acrylonitrile (2) with a diverse of commercially available reagents (indandione, thiobarbituric acid, and malononitrile). Moreover, a novel group of benzothiazole linked substituted 1,2,3-triazole derivatives were synthesized by exploring the chemical behavior of 5-benzothiazolyl-2-(4-chlorophenyl)-triazol-4-amine through refluxing in glacial acetic acid, condensation with phthalic anhydride, and cyanoacetylation reactions. All newly synthetized compounds have been tested for their antioxidant and antibacterial activities compared with ascorbic acid and Ampicillin as reference drugs, respectively. The benzothiazolo- pyridopyrimidine compound 6 was found the most potent antioxidant agent with IC50 = 0.015 mg/mL compared to the results of ascorbic acid (IC50 = 0.022 mg/mL). The investigated compounds showed no antibacterial properties against Gram-negative bacterial species, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli. Benzothiazolopyridine derivative 5 displayed the best growth inhibition against Gram-positive bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus cereus with inhibition zones 24 and 20 mm, respectively.   KEY WORDS: Benzothiazole, Pyridobenzothiazole, 1,2,3-Triazole, Naphtharidine, Antioxidant   Bull.     Carnosol induces ROS-mediated beclin1-independent autophagy and apoptosis in triple negative breast cancer

    Background: In this study we investigated the in vitro and in vivo anticancer effect of carnosol, a naturally occurring polyphenol, in triple negative breast cancer.Results: We found that carnosol significantly inhibited the viability and colony growth induced G2 arrest in the triple negative MDA-MB-231. Blockade of the cell cycle was associated with increased p21/WAF1 expression and downregulation of p27. Interestingly, carnosol was found to induce beclin1-independent autophagy and apoptosis in MDA-MB-231 cells. The coexistence of both events, autophagy and apoptosis, was confirmed by electron micrography. Induction of autophagy was found to be an early event, detected within 3 h post-treatment, which subsequently led to apoptosis. Carnosol treatment also caused a dose-dependent increase in the levels of phosphorylated extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1 and 2 (pERK1/2). Moreover, we show that carnosol induced DNA damage, reduced the mitochondrial potential and triggered the activation of the intrinsic and extrinsic apoptotic pathway. Furthermore, we found that carnosol induced a dose-dependent generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and inhibition of ROS by tiron, a ROS scavenger, blocked the induction of autophagy and apoptosis and attenuated DNA damage. To our knowledge, this is the first report to identify the induction of autophagy by carnosol.Conclusion: In conclusion our findings provide strong evidence that carnosol may be an alternative therapeutic candidate against the aggressive form of breast cancer and hence deserves more exploration.Scopu

    DESIGN, SYNTHESIS AND BIOLOGICAL SCREENING OF AMINOACETYLENIC TETRAHYDROPHTHALIMIDE ANALOGUES AS NOVEL CYCLOOXYGENASE (COX) INHIBITORS

    Objective: To design and synthesise a new amino acetylenic tetrahydro phthalimide derivative and investigate their selective inhibitory activity to COXs.Methods: Aminoacetylenic tetrahydro phthalimide derivatives were synthesised by alkylation of tetrahydro phthalimide with propargyl bromide afforded 2-(prop-2-yn-1-yl)-2,3,3a,4,7,7a-hexahydro-1H-isoindole-1,3-dione. The alkylated tetrahydro phthalimide was subjected to Mannich reaction afforded the desired amino acetylenic tetra phthalimide derivatives (AZ 1-6). The elemental analysis was indicated by the EuroEA elemental analyzer and biological characterization was via IR, 1H-NMR, [13]C-NMR, DSC was determined with the aid of Bruker FT-IR and Varian 300 MHz spectrometer and DMSO-d6 as a solvent, molecular docking was done using the Autodock Tool software (version 4.2). ChemBioDraw was used in the drawing of our schemes.Results: The IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, DSC and elemental analysis were consistent with the assigned structures. The designers of the compounds as COXs inhibitor activity were based on the nationalisation of the important criteria that provide effective inhibitory binding with COXsñ€“receptor. The results indicated that the synthesised compounds (AZ1-6) showed a close similarity in the binding affinity to both COXs and may be more specific to COX-1. AZ-5 showed the highest % of inhibition for COX-1 even better than aspirin. Which may suggest that the aryl group is required for COX-2 inhibition.Conclusion: For the first time, we indicate the requirement of aromaticity in COX-2 structural inhibitory activity.Â
