Use of Metaheuristic Algorithms in Malware Detection

    Get PDF
Metaheuristic algorithms are the general framework for optimization problems. They are not problem dependent and are heavily deployed in different domains. Due to rise in number of malware, malware detection techniques are updated very often. In the present work different metaheuritics algorithm used in malware detection and are available in the literature are discussed. Metaheuristics algorithm like harmony search, clonal selection, genetic algorithm and Negative selection algorithms are discussed

Precise positioning systems for Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks

Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANET) is a very promising research venue that can offers many useful and critical applications including the safety applications. Most of these applications require that each vehicle knows precisely its current position in real time. GPS is the most common positioning technique for VANET. However, it is not accurate. Moreover, the GPS signals cannot be received in the tunnels, undergrounds, or near tall buildings. Thus, no positioning service can be obtained in these locations. Even if the Deferential GPS (DGPS) can provide high accuracy, but still no GPS converge in these locations. In this paper, we provide positioning techniques for VANET that can provide accurate positioning service in the areas where GPS signals are hindered by the obstacles. Experimental results show significant improvement in the accuracy. This allows when combined with DGPS the continuity of a precise positioning service that can be used by most of the VANET applications.Comment: 15 pages, 15 figures, International Journal of Wireless & Mobile Networks (IJWMN) Vol. 4, No. 2, April 201

Modeling of Employee Recruitment Process through UML

    No full text
Nowadays the organizations are functioning in a very competitive and aggressive environment. We have seen that every organization needed to recruit the employee for their work. It is well known that the organizations are facing the problem to keep their employee with their organizations because demand of employee higher salary or left organization or some other circumstances like change organization, low performance in the work or death of employee etc. The objective of this paper is to design a Unified Modeling Language (UML) model for recruiting the employee in the organization in a simple, systematic and effective way and also proposed the sequence and activity diagram for the above model. Author also evaluates the model through the employee recruitment data

Effects of organic and inorganic fertilization with bio-inoculants on the sustainable management of plant-parasitic nematodes infesting okra (Abelmoschus esculentus)

DOI: 10.15835/nbha49412544 Root-knot nematodes are believed to be amongst the biological constraints causing severe damage and a great reduction in the productivity of okra. The purpose of this study was to apply organic matter and non-symbiotic nitrogen-fixing bacteria to minimize the addition of chemical fertilizers that constantly pollute the environment.  Experimental studies were conducted in the field for two summers to determine the effect of inoculations of non-symbiotic nitrogen-fixing bacteria, such as Azotobacter chroococcum and Azospirillum brasilense singly and in combinations, with different recommended doses of inorganic nitrogen as well as organic matter such as neem seed cake on the growth, yield, and organic parameters of the okra crop towards the management of plant-parasitic nematodes. The results show a significant reduction in nematode multiplication through soil application of nitrogen-fixing bacteria and neem seed cake along with different recommended doses of nitrogen inoculated plants. Azotobacter was found to be less effective than Azospirillum in agronomic parameters and nematode control. The most pronounced increases were observed in the yield and growth parameters such as plant height, fresh as well as dry weights, fruit weights/plant, number of total fruits/plant and primary branches, chlorophyll content, and ascorbic acid content when A. chroococcum and A. brasilense were added concomitantly in various combinations. Agronomic parameters such as NPK content in the plant as well as in residual soil increased considerably in almost all the combinations irrespective of these biofertilizers and neem seed cake. In conclusion, the combined application of a 100% recommended dose of nitrogen fertilizer along with Azospirillum and neem seed cake is recommended for better growth and yield of okra with better control of nematodal population
