Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Siswa pada Materi Bangun Datar

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada materi bangun datar. Tempat penelitian ini dilaksanakan yaitu di SMP N 1 Betung kelas VII.F pada tahun ajaran 2020/2021 dengan jumlah siswa 31 orang yang terdiri dari 13 laki-laki dan 18 perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan soal tes sebanyak 9 soal berbentuk uraian materi bangun datar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan untuk indikator memahami masalah 66,66%, membuat atau menyusun pemodelan matematika 42,74%, memilih dan mengembangkan strategi 40,32%, serta mampu memeriksa kebenaran dan menjelaskan jawaban yang diperoleh 29,43%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang diperoleh dari hasil tes siswa rata-rata untuk kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas VII.F pada materi bangun datar masih dalam kategori rendah sebesar 44,7

Exploring the Impact of Cultural Diversity on Teacher’s Nonverbal Communication

The ability to communicate between teachers and their students is the most crucial skill in teaching. That happens because the majority of activities in the class involve both verbal and nonverbal communication.  Nonverbal communication improves the bond between a teacher and a student while also making nonverbal communication appear more natural and acceptable to the audience. Teacher nonverbal communication might be influenced by several factors, such as our cultural background. Hence, the current study is aimed to present the role of teacher nonverbal communication in cultural variation during the teaching process. This research widely explains the roles of cultural variation of teacher in nonverbal communication focusing on (1) What is a cultural variation? (2) What is a nonverbal communication and what are the possible challenges? (3) How cultural communication influences teacher nonverbal communication in the teaching process
