Development of peripheral areas trough tourism- disadvantages and benefits: case study for Romanian Coastal Area
Economic and social transformations in the last decades in EEC induce new challenges for development of new
activities in order to cope at global level. Tourism it is one of the activities high developed in former socialist
countries, and that generates at spatial level new models of distribution of activities and new models of mobility.
This new tourist development increases the attractiveness of a region. Development of mass tourism induces a
profound urbanization of the landscape (agricultural, rural and cultural). Some of this new created (or re- invented)

Aspects of agricultural landscape as a cultural asset in metropolitan areas: case study for Bucharest city
Typical for the last decades economical and social processes at metropolitan level induce new models of spatial organization characterized by extensive urban development. These extensive processes configure various components of the cultural landscape in different ways. Such development modifies the rural, agricultural and industrial landscapes and generates new landscape typologies modeled by interaction between urban and rural space. Diverse approaches of urban development have modified the territorial structure and also the way in which the territory visually and dynamically responds to external factors by transforming the main cultural features. In such a context, preservation of common agricultural landscape as a part of cultural landscape is becoming an important issue for the local development policies.

Agrokultūrinio kraštovaizdžio kaip didmiesčio kultūrinio turto aspektai: Bukarešto miesto studija
Santrauka.

This thesis aims to realize a psychoanalytic research on Park Wan Suh (1931- 2011)’s novels, with the purpose of better understanding the psychological features of her literary creations. Park Wan Suh has started her career with the debut novel ‘The naked tree’ (1970) and she is widely acclaimed as one of the best writers of modern Korean literature, her approaches raging from feminism, social criticism to confessional content. Therefore, the existent research on her literary creation is various as well, and continuously emerging, as she is an au-thor of great interest. One of the topics of great interest in her works, is the Ko-rean war, which due to her being a survivor of such terrible event, becomes even more intriguing. Therefore, in this thesis through an in-depth research into Park Wan Suh’s war literature, we reveal the wide psychological insight it provides into the issue of war trauma and the psychological impact of the Korean war, as well as set the base for a new way of looking at the author and her relationship with her creations.
In chapter 2, we will focus on Park Wan Suh’s main war novels, ‘The na-ked Tree’ (1970), ‘Who ate all the Shinga’ (1992), ‘Is that mountain really there?’(1995), ‘Buddha’s story’(1973), ‘We teach shame’ (1974)‘Three days in that autumn’ (1985), ‘Mother’s stake’(1980-1991) and relying on the existent research on trauma and its symptoms. By observing each character’s individual experience with the Korean war, and the trauma it has inflicted on their psyche, we meant to create a clearer image of what experiencing trauma is in terms of symptoms, and in which way Park Wan Suh has managed to encompass that in her novels. While family loss becomes the triggering traumatic event, depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Survivor’s guilt, and OCD are the main behaviors which sum up, in various forms, each individual’s experience with war trauma. By looking at all these characters we will understand the versatility of trauma, the unexpectedness and finally the author’s own understanding of the subject matter, as well as the way she turned each character into a perfect case study for understanding the effects of the Korean war on the Korean people, as well as its psychological effects.
In chapter 3 of this paper, we aim to complete the understanding process of the experience of trauma. While the previous chapter meant to clearly under-line the originating point of trauma, and its manifestations, in this chapter the topic will be healing trauma. While Park Wan Suh, beautifully creates a detailed account of the psychological impact of war and the ways in which it can haunt somebody for years in a row, in this chapter we meant to see exactly what her stance on healing trauma is. By analyzing each character’s journey through trau-ma, the question of how it can be overcome rises. Focusing on the same charac-ter of the same novels which were analyzed in the previous chapter, we will ob-serve their approach on dealing with trauma and its consequences. Escaping or Fighting are the key words for this analysis, which will be able to portray two opposite approaches when dealing with trauma, with the main goal of offering a better understanding of the human instincts when caught in the ’flight-or fight’ momentum, as well as the final choice’s effects.
In chapter 4, using what we have discovered of the psychological content of trauma in Park Wan Suh’s novels, as well as the already existent research on herself and her creations we tried to better understand the creative process be-hind all these novels as the path to better understand the author’s own experi-ence with war trauma. After analyzing the psychological response of her charac-ters to the Korean war, we cannot ignore the author’s own traumatic past having lost family to the Korean war, the death of her older brother haunting many of her novels. If through the analysis of so many of her novels, we have already understood her knowledge on the topic of psychology and trauma, as well as her connection to the national tragedy of the Korean War, now it is time to better understand the author’s own experience, though the same two main concepts we applied to her characters as well: symptoms and healing. Starting with the wounds she experienced from the war, Park Wan Suh created a complex litera-ture of war. Like many of her contemporaries she bears witness to a tragic time in the national history. However, her preoccupation with the war went beyond the expected, beyond the trend and resulted in a literature of her own. And in this chapter, the main question if how we can use her own literature to better understand the author’s own experience with Korean war trauma and the ways in which it influenced her writing. The goal of this chapter is to expand the knowledge on the psychological aspect of her novels, from the individual experi-ence of her character to the better understanding her literature from the point of view of her own symptoms of trauma, and her own journey to healing implied in the choices made in the creative process.
Park Wan Suh is a great writer of her time, acknowledged for the variety and depth of her creations. However, on the topic of the Korean War she is a master. Starting with the wounds she experienced from the war, Park Wan Suh created a complex literature of war as her preoccupation with the war went be-yond the expected, beyond the trend and resulted in a literature of her own. She does not stop herself in her path to raise awareness, to the common, basic trau-matic elements of war, like death, and violence on the front lines. She raises the bar and draws attention to the less known aspects of the war, its impact on those not directly involved and the long-lasting grip it has. We were made aware of the psychological impact of war, the unforgiving and undiscriminating reach of trauma, as well as her knowledge on the topic. Her own road to self-discovery and healing, resulted in true testimonies of the psychological reach of trauma and its forms of manifestation. This not only allowed the author to work through her own trauma, but also created a type of literature needed to shed light on the psychological and on the feminine experience of the war.

Sustainability of the Tourism Industry, Based on Financial Key Performance Indicators
Even if there is a real need of a set of key performance indicators for small and medium sized enterprises, this is not yet considered to be satisfied. Our research is focused on two main aspects, each of them individually important for the users of accounting information: the basic indicators specific for analysing operational performance and for decision making and the trend of the key performance indicators in the context of the economic crisis. The starting point of the study is a questionnaire addressed to small and medium sized enterprises activating in the tourism area, especially in the hotel industry. The respondents answered the questions in perfect anonymity by choosing one of the multiple choices for some of them and offering open answers to the others. Our analysis reveals a fair view of the dynamic of the most used key performance indicators in Romanian hotel industry, the limits of their interpretation and usage and the evolution of the financial and economic performance. The declared purpose of the research is to set the bases of a starting point in order to provide solutions for improving the relevance and the usage of these indicators in this domain, in the context of a sustainable business, taking into account the nowadays status of the economy in general and in particular the hotel industry
RESEARCHES CONCERNING IMPROVING METHODS OF IN VITRO MICROTUBERS PRODUCTION
Five genotypes of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) were induced to form microtubers under two in vitro culture conditions (continuos darkness and light). Cultures maintained under continuos darkness (with a temperatue of 170C) had a higher yield with a greater number of microtuber (1.394/plantlet) than those maintained under long days (16 h of light/day) combined with temperature of 200C. In the last case the microtubers were higher, with with the highest average weight of 0.602 g. Three phytohormones it was used: coumarine, benzylaminopurine and salicylic acid. Regarding the average number of microtubers obtained when it was used coumarine and salicylic acid, the highest average number of microtubers was recorded (1,135 microtubers/plantlet). The study had been performed also on two fractions of the of sugar quantity (80 and 140 g/l), but they had less influence compared to the varieties
