A Benchmarks Library for Extended Parametric Timed Automata
Parametric timed automata are a powerful formalism for reasoning on
concurrent real-time systems with unknown or uncertain timing constants. In
order to test the efficiency of new algorithms, a fair set of benchmarks is
required. We present an extension of the IMITATOR benchmarks library, that
accumulated over the years a number of case studies from academic and
industrial contexts. We extend here the library with several dozens of new
benchmarks; these benchmarks highlight several new features: liveness
properties, extensions of (parametric) timed automata (including stopwatches or
multi-rate clocks), and unsolvable toy benchmarks. These latter additions help
to emphasize the limits of state-of-the-art parameter synthesis techniques,
with the hope to develop new dedicated algorithms in the future.Comment: This is the author (and extended) version of the manuscript of the

Fraipontite is a very rare mineral described by CesĂ ro and found in the Vieille Montagne mines, eastern Belgium.
The morphology, observed by scanning electron microscope, especially shows a lamellar structure. Optical data are : Ng = Nm = 1.624 and (â) 2 V = 15-20°.
The X-ray powder pattern is given and index for a monoclinic unit cell with a = 5.372, b = 9.246, c = 7.273 Ă
and ÎČ = 103°33'.
A new chemical analysis, completed with microprobe outline, is compared with previous data.
The phase changes are identified by X-ray diffraction after heating ; so, zincite, willemite and gahnite successively appear after destruction of fraipontite near 425° C.
Thermal and infrared analyses show the presence of hygroscopic water and suggest a crystallochemical formula :
Giving robots a voice: human-in-the-loop voice creation and open-ended labeling
Speech is a natural interface for humans to interact with robots. Yet, aligning a robotâs voice to its appearance is challenging due to the rich vocabulary of both modalities. Previous research has explored a few labels to describe robots and tested them on a limited number of robots and existing voices. Here, we develop a robot-voice creation tool followed by large-scale behavioral human experiments (N=2,505). First, participants collectively tune robotic voices to match 175 robot images using an adaptive human-in-the-loop pipeline. Then, participants describe their impression of the robot or their matched voice using another human-in-the-loop paradigm for open-ended labeling. The elicited taxonomy is then used to rate robot attributes and to predict the best voice for an unseen robot. We offer a web interface to aid engineers in customizing robot voices, demonstrating the synergy between cognitive science and machine learning for engineering tools
Characterization, displacement pattern and perception of users of the bicycle sharing system "Passo Fundo Goes by Bicycle"
Faced with the cities problems generated by the excess of cars there is a growing need for new
strategies for urban displacement. In this context, shared bikes are gaining popularity in cities
around the world. The City Hall of Passo Fundo/RS recently implemented a system "Passo Fundo
Goes by Bicycleâ aiming to increase the city sustainability. This work aims to characterize the users
of the system and know the displacement patterns, besides this goal, it seeks to understand their
perspective about the service offered, identifying their motivations and difficulties. The methodology
used was the use of Post-Occupancy Evaluation (POE) techniques, with application of
questionnaires in 100 users. The results brought important discoveries, such as the significant
substitution of motorized means by bycicle and the necessity to expand the bike lane existing in the
city. The final considerations identify "Passo Fundo Goes by Bicycle " as an important contributor
to local sustainability
Supported Education and Supported Employment for Individuals at Clinical-High Risk of Psychosis:A Pilot Study
Deteriorated functioning is a part of the clinical-high risk (CHR) criteria for psychosis. Diminished social, educational and occupational functioning in the phase of late adolescence and early adulthood are associated with long-term social, economic and health consequences, which stresses the importance of early intervention to stimulate functioning. This pilot study examines the effectiveness and feasibility of the choose-get-keep model of Supported Education and Supported Employment (SEE) to improve educational and occupational functioning of individuals at CHR for a psychosis. A single blind randomized controlled pilot study combined SEE with treatment as usual (TAU) versus TAU among adolescents and early adults at CHR. School performance and job status as well as global functioning scales were assessed at twelve months. Of the 78 eligible participants, 20 individuals consented to participate in this study. At follow-up, participants in the intervention condition (n = 9) did not start an education more often than the participants in the control condition (n = 11) and the school results for both conditions were similar. However, in the intervention condition there were no school dropouts, more participants gained a job and worked longer hours. Two participants quit the intervention. This pilot study provides preliminary evidence that a SEE intervention is effective and feasible in sustaining and improving the level of both educational and occupational functioning of individuals at CHR for psychosis by supporting them in attaining, keeping and elaborating of their education or employment.</p
