The research involves the processes of mediation, dissemination and use of information, seeking to analyze and reflect especially on those involving archives. In this sense, archival diffusion and the concept of reference archivist were brought to this research. The objective was to carry out a comparative analysis of the concepts of archival diffusion and reference archivist and their practices, seeking to identify the presence and convergence between the themes based on domain analysis of the communities of researchers who published articles in scientific journals in Brazil and Spain on the subject, between the years 2017 and 2022. To this end, a systematization was made through literature, of the attributions of the reference archivist and their relations with archival diffusion. Afterwards, articles from scientific journals dealing with archival diffusion and reference archivist in databases in Brazil (Brapci) and Spain (Dialnet) were selected. Finally, domain analysis were performed using Sketch Engine software, seeking similarities and differences in approaches. When comparing domains, it is considered that they present more convergences than divergences, as both demonstrate similar behaviors. It can be said that there is almost an absence of discussions that include the archivist and/or the reference archivist, as well as other professionals in the texts. With this, it was possible to conclude that current publications on diffusion practically disregard the figure of the reference archivist. The discussions around the professionals involved in the diffusion processes need to be deepened in research, as this scenario makes it difficult to develop the theme, both in theory and in practice in archives, highlighting gaps in the approach to archival diffusion in both domains
Gardner optimal capacity of the diluted Blume-Emery-Griffiths neural network
The optimal capacity of a diluted Blume-Emery-Griffiths neural network is
studied as a function of the pattern activity and the embedding stability using
the Gardner entropy approach. Annealed dilution is considered, cutting some of
the couplings referring to the ternary patterns themselves and some of the
couplings related to the active patterns, both simultaneously (synchronous
dilution) or independently (asynchronous dilution). Through the de
Almeida-Thouless criterion it is found that the replica-symmetric solution is
locally unstable as soon as there is dilution. The distribution of the
couplings shows the typical gap with a width depending on the amount of
dilution, but this gap persists even in cases where a particular type of
coupling plays no role in the learning process.Comment: 9 pages Latex, 2 eps figure
Panama Papers' offshoring network behavior
The present study analyzes the offshoring network constructed from the information contained in the Panama Papers, characterizing worldwide regions and countries as well as their intra-and inter-relationships. The Panama Papers 2016 divulgence is the largest leak of offshoring and tax avoidance documentation. The document leak, with a volume content of approximately 2.6 terabytes, involves more than two hundred thousand enterprises in more than two hundred countries. From this information, the offshore connections of individuals and companies are constructed and aggregated using their countries of origin. The top offshore financial regions and countries of the network are identified, and their intra-and inter-relationship are mapped and described. We are able to identify the top countries in the offshoring network and characterize their connectivity structure, discovering the more prominent actors in the worldwide offshoring scenario and their range of influence. This work was funded by UDLA-SIS.MGR.20.0
Teachers’ Emotion Regulation: Implications for Classroom Conflict Management
It has been postulated that emotions play essential roles in conflict situations and that excessive expression of emotions or inappropriate display can reduce the capacity to manage conflict. However, there is a lack of research that relates teachers’ emotion-regulation ability to managing conflict. To bridge this gap, this pilot study aimed to examine the relationships between teachers’ emotion-regulation ability and conflict management strategies used in the classroom. The sample consisted of 878 teachers (61% women) working in Portuguese schools, which completed an application of Mayer and Salovey’s emotional intelligence model and Rahim’s model of conflict management. Using the structural equation modeling, findings revealed that the teachers who tend to show a greater ability to regulate emotions use mainly integrating and compromising strategies to manage classroom conflicts more frequently than other strategies. In conclusion, it is necessary to create a curriculum in the pre-service teachers’ education programs that includes emotional education, so that they can acquire emotional regulation skills, due to their importance in classroom conflict management

Exposure to potentially inappropriate medications in Brazilian elderly outpatients with metabolic diseases
Management of pharmacotherapy in elderly with metabolic diseases is challenging and potentially inappropriate medications (PIMs) are risk factors for drug interactions and adverse events. The exposure to PIMs in elderly outpatients with metabolic diseases and its relationship with polypharmacy and other variables was investigated. PIMs prescribed to 207 elderly patients (aged 60 to 96 years) with metabolic diseases who attended a University Hospital of Sao Paulo city, Brazil, from April/2010 to January/2011, were evaluated. PIMs were detected using both 2003 Beers and 2008 STOPP criteria. The association between PIMs and age, gender and polypharmacy was also examined. 2008 STOPP criteria detected more PIMs (44.4 %) than 2003 Beers criteria (16.0%,
The dissemination of Brazilian public university archives with Archival Science programs is researched. We analyzed and collected data from 11 university public archives, and, after this, it was revealed that access and dissemination does not receive enough attention within the country's universities. In general, it can be concluded that the literature related to that theme does not finding application in the Brazilian university public archives.
