(Pirlich et al., 2001; Kaneda et al., 2000) Other factors and conditions can influence the health of the elderly, like Depression and the Need of a Caregiver (Garcia et al., 2001; Funes-Avila et al., 2007). These factors demonstrate correlation, because the elderly who have depression are more likely caregiver dependency and have increased risk of malnutrition (Cabrera et al.,2007), as well as the elderly dependent of caregiver may be more likely to develop malnutrition (Payette, 2005) and depression, whichmeans a dependent relationship between these three factors

Premium nutrition counselling service: a co-creation for better communication to clients

Find the best way to communicate to clients is a challenges for all company. Challenge and aim: Premium Nutrition Counselling was a North Portugal DEMOLA co-creation case propose together with CryoslimClinic company. CryoslimClinic offers aesthetic services and nutrition consultations, has two employees and is headquartered in the city of Bragança. This company is satisfied with its client portfolio in the area of aesthetics, but would like to expand its clientele in the area of nutrition. So, the aim of this co-creation process was find a better communication canal to communicate with nutrition consultation clients. Methods: To better understand the challenge, field visits were made to the company, analyzes of the company's communication channels with its customers and the application of a questionnaire with potential customers. Ideation was carried out with support to the DEMOLA co-creation process, including validating the idea with specialists in Marketing. Finds: The company does not yet have a functioning website, but use social media: a Facebook page and two Instagram channels (aesthetic and nutrition). Different images for each of the social networks are used, with no interconnection between them or a direct link to the company logo. The number and frequency of publications is not homogeneous and depends on the time availability of the business owner. There is no marketing professional working with the client. La imagen de la Virgen de Guadalupe por Don Francisco Antonio de Lorenzana

Francisco Antonio Lorenzana nació en León, en 1722. En 1765, era obispo de Plasencia (Cáceres) y, un año después, fue nombrado arzobispo de México, donde estuve hasta ser escogido arzobispo de Toledo. En 1789, él pasó a cardenal y de 1794 a 1797 fue inquisidor general. Además de los cargos eclesiásticos, Lorenzana fue autor de diversas escritos religiosos y asimismo de la Historia de la Nueva España escrita por su esclarecido conquistador Hernán Cortés, reuniendo cartas de Cortés y anotaciones suyas. En esa obra, así como en otras, expresó su preocupación con el proceso de mestizaje, rasgo de diferenciación entre España y América. Esa ponencia se concentrará en el análisis de la Oración a Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, publicada en 1770, en que el arzobispo describe la aparición de la Virgen María, en la Ciudad de México, en 1531, sus primeros milagros, las diligencias, reuniendo teólogos, canonistas y pintores, para determinar como la imagen había sido compuesta y como se reconoció su naturaleza divina. Por fin, Lorenzana interpreta los significados de la imagen y de la aparición. Así, el objetivo de la ponencia será observar la interpretación de Lorenzana de la imagen de la Virgen de Guadalupe. Una indicación importante para el análisis será su afirmación de que el buen pintor "en el sagrado es un predicador mudo" y, por lo tanto, se puede pensar que una imagen divina puede tener un efecto aun más eficaz y más permanente.Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educació

A infografia no cenário da web: o recurso e a compreensão da informação

O presente artigo buscou analisar, a partir de estudo de caso do site rfortes.com e realização de questionário online, como os meios de comunicação utilizam o recurso da infografia para atingir o leitor de forma mais rápida e direta no cenário digital. Foram entrevistadas 50 pessoas que, por meio de questões fechadas e abertas e análise de três infográficos pré-selecionados, responderam sobre suas percepções e interpretações acerca do assunto. É importante perceber que, utilizando-se deste recurso, o leitor tem uma ampliação da informação. Observou-se também que, ao se utilizar o recurso da infografia, há uma melhor compreensão do conteúdo publicado

Neste artigo, o objetivo é entender o livro eletrônico como um título, obra ou arquivo. Apresentamos o arquivo e-Book com o conceito de livro digital ou livro eletrônico. Posteriormente, avaliamos os e-Books e os comparamos aos livros impressos, de tal forma que, a partir das pesquisas, procuramos um padrão de formato de leitura mais utilizado: encontramos o PDF. Apresentamos as funções do PDF, como um formato padrão, que possui a qualificação de ISO 32000. Identificamos assim o motivo que o faz ser tão utilizado para visualização de arquivos e-Books, isto é, o fato de possuir mais recursos que os outros formatos

Resting metabolic rate objectively measured vs. Harris and Benedict formula

Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) is the energy spent in activities necessary to maintain normal homeostasis and body functions. In the XX century, Harris and Benedict conducted a study using calorimetry to the measurement of basal metabolic rate. This study analysed physical variables (age, weight, height) and physiological data expressing the results in two formulas, one for males and another for females. Studies indicate that the data obtained in the equations are the same as those obtained by indirect calorimetry, however other studies question these results. Objective: Study the correlation between the RMR using indirect calorimetry and Harris-Benedict formula in a group of workers of granite industry. Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional study was developed. Data collection was performed using a sample of 30 men from two companies of granite industry. Data collection was done using anthropometric measurements and the RMR assessed using the Fitmate, Cosmed®. Statistical analysis of the data was performed using the statistical software Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 22. Results: The sample comprised 30 men, with a mean age of 39.8 (SD = 13.9) years. The RMR measured was in average of 1,741.0 (SD = 281.7) Kcal, and the Harris and Benedict Formula resulted in an average of 1,785.0 (SD = 229.2) Kcal. RMRs objectively measured and calculated varied on average 4.1 (SD = 14.6) % and were significantly correlated (=0.539; p-value = 0.01).
