    Domestic Violence against Children, and Its Relationship with Their Aggressive Behavior

    The study aimed at investigating the relationship between domestic violence against children and their aggressive behavior, among the study sample consisted of (100) male and female students from Alrai Schools in Amman Jordan; the randomly sample is distributed by choosing (25 male students; and 25 female students from the sixth grade, and 25 male students; and 25 female students from the seventh grade). The researcher has adopted the descriptive analytical methodology, by using a questionnaire composed of 14 paragraphs as the study tool. The results of the study show that no relationship between domestic violence and aggressive behavior upon students’ stage, and also show that there is a relationship between domestic violence and aggressive behavior upon students’ gender.Finally the researcher recommended further studies to be conducted in this field in Jordan; and increase awareness of domestic violence against children, and its relationship with their aggressive behavior through the intensification of family and community programs through various media, enactment of laws and legislation and regulations for dealing with cases of children exposed to violence, and spread awareness among community members about the seriousness of this phenomenon and the importance of reporting such violence

    Issues of Children with Disabilities as Reflected in the Jordanian Media from their Parents’ Perception: A SWOT Analysis

    A SWOT study was conducted to analyze parents’ perspective on the degree to which Jordanian media covers issues of children with disabilities; the study sample consisted of 129 parents. The researchers constructed a scale consisting of 28 items; furthermore, validity and reliability coefficients of the scale were extracted. Results showed a moderate level of media coverage regarding issues of children with disabilities; social media was given the highest rating followed by visual and audio media, and lastly print media such as newspapers and magazines. However, the majority of media coverage addressed physical and health issues and communicative disorders. Finally, recommendations to improve practices were provided

    Electronic Bullying among a Sample of Students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders in Zarqa City

    The current study aimed at investigating levels of electronic bullying among a sample of students with emotional and behavioral disorders in the city of Zarqa, Jordan. Further, the study aimed at investigating the existence of any differences in levels of bullying due to gender and age. The sample consisted of 117 male and female students recruited from 4 public schools in Zarqa educational district in academic year 2015/2016. The Electronic Bullying Scale and Behavioral Disorder Scale were used. The results indicated high levels of electronic bullying among students, with a mean of 3.77 out of 4. Additionally, statisticaly significant differences were found between male and female students -in favor of male students- and across age -in favor of students older than 14 years
