In water storage systems, whether for purification, creation of artificial lakes, fish tanks and other applications, there is a great problem due to the proliferation of algae and cyanobacteria caused by the accumulation of nitrates and phosphates so that water loses its quality, it takes an unpleasant appearance emanating bad smells and unpleasant color. Through this titration work, an alternative way to combat the problem of algae and cyanobacteria present in the reservoir water using electromagnetic waves with variable frequency is sought, a prototype is created which allows a variable magnetic field to be generated with a frequency of 30Hz up to 10Khz, this field is directly subjected to samples of water contaminated with green algae and cyanobacteria, observing that at a frequency of 1000Hz and a time of 3 hours for Euglenas and Closteriums type algae and 20 hours for Eudorine cyanobacteria and algae, results are obtained positive, such as loss of movement, change of shape and explosion of microorganisms, in the case of cyanobacteria, the disintegration and discoloration of the bacterial colony can be observed, it can also be observed microscopically that the algae of the Euglenas, Closteriums and Eudorina type explode releasing its internal content, is therefore that the conclusion is reached ion that algae and cyanobacteria die.
