    Pseudococcus adonidum is a polyphag pest, which attacks different species of plants belonging to many genus and families, as: Citrus, Ficus, Cactaceae, Cycas, Dracena, Phoenix, Mimoza, Asparagus, Camellia etc. It is localized in large colonies on leaves, stems, branches, offshoots, and roots. The experiments were performed in solarium conditions during 2001-2002. Testing the efficiency of an insecticide sort was the aim of our experiment.     ASPECTS REGARDING THE PHYSIOLOGICAL PARAMETERS IN SOME LOCAL POPULATIONS OF CAPSICUM ANNUUM SSP. GROSSUM UNDER STRESS CONDITIONS

    In this paper are presented results regarding the physiological behavior of some local populations of Capsicum annuum ssp. grossum, cultivated compared to the control variety Cornel on sandy soils from the Research and Development Station for Plant Culture on Sands, Dăbuleni. The researches focused on the effects of thermal stress on the processes of photosynthesis and foliar transpiration, as well as on the productions made in pepper culture. The results obtained underlined the importance of correlating the physiological processes in pepper plants with environmental factors and the yields obtained. Under conditions of heat stress, all local populations analyzed showed values of photosynthesis above the values recorded at the control variant (Cornel variety). The water lost through foliar transpiration was efficiently recovered by the studied local populations, between transpiration and pepper production being established a positive correlation, significant from statistically point of view

    Malingering can be a difficult diagnosis to discern, especially in patients with well-crafted stories presenting with signs and symptoms that align directly with the literature. This can further become a challenge when a patient is malingering in the setting of a rare disease, where many complaints can be subjective in nature and not entirely testable by physical exam alone. Malingering is responsible for billions of dollars of healthcare waste every single year, and this report can serve as a guide of history elements, signs and symptoms to look out for with patients malingering in the setting of the porphyrias. It is important to recognize when patients are malingering, and when they are not, so that they may receive the appropriate care to help with their condition. This report can also serve as a guideline for what laboratory tests and studies to order in the setting of a suspected porphyria case, in order to confirm the diagnosis and get the patient the appropriate treatment regimen. Intelligent malingering is a growing problem, especially with the amount of access the general public has to medical information, and it is important for us to be able to identify when a patient is truly suffering from a rare disease and when they are malingering
