Influence of metal (Ag, Cd, Cu)-doping on the optical properties of ZnO nanopowder: Variation of band gap

Metal doped ZnO (MZO, metal = Ag, Cd, Cu) with different metal ion doped concentrations were synthesized by sol-gel method. The structural and optical properties were characterized by UVâVis spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR). With metal ion doping content increase, a red shift in band gap is observed. The red shift in band edge absorption peak in UV-Vis absorbance spectrum with increasing metal content also confirm the doping of metal in ZnO nanostructure. The band gap of ZnO resistivity was also changed according to the metal doping amounts and a kind of dopant. The results showed that each metal ion that has closer ionic radius to Zn2+ could change optical band gap more than other

The chemiluminescence arising from the reaction of bis(2,4,6-trichlorophenyl)oxalate (TCPO) with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of fluorescent brighteners 4,4â-Bis{[4-anilino-6-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)amino-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl]amino} stilbene-2,2â-disulfonic acid- disodium salts (Triaz I), 4,4â-Bis{[4-6-anilino -1,3,5-triazin-2-yl]amino}stilbene-2,2â-disulfonic acid- disodium salts (Triaz II) has been studied. The influence of concentration of Triazinyl, TCPO, hydrogen peroxide, catalysts concentration, catalyst type and temperature on the chemiluminescence was investigated. The kinetic parameters for the peroxyoxalate-chemiluminescence of Triazinyl were appraise from computer fitting of the resulting intensityâtime plots. The activation parameters such as Ea and G, were evaluated from temperature dependence of the corresponding fall rate constants

In this work, acidity constants protonated form of 4.4'-bis astilbene-2,2'-disulfonic-disodium salts (TRIAZ) have been determined spectrophotometrically and spectrofluorimetrically at 25â—¦C and ionic strength of 0.1M KNO3. A program based on MCR-ALS applied for determination of acidity constants. The results show that the peak values of dye are influenced by the presence of anionic, cationic, and nonionic surfactants. The effects of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), Triton X-100 (TX-100) and cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) as a surface-active agent on the acidic and basic forms, and the spectral properties of dye were studied. Also, we determined the critical micelle concentration (CMC) for these surfactants by spectrophotometric and spectrofluorimetric triazine dye probes. In addition, by using of evolving factor analysis (EFA) and multivariate curve resolution alternative least squares (MCR-ALS) methods, acidity constants were acquired
