Faktor Yang Berhubungan dengan Pemberian Asi Eksklusif Pada Bayi
Breast milk is breast milk, one of the foods that cover all elements of the baby's physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs at the beginning of the baby's life. The study aims to determine the factors associated with exclusive breastfeeding. This type of quantitative research uses analytical surveys with cross-sectional methods. The sample size in this study was 42 respondents who fit the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results showed that there is a relationship between knowledge and exclusive breastfeeding with a value of p = 0.016, there is a relationship between education and exclusive breastfeeding with a value of p = 0.030, there is a relationship between work and exclusive breastfeeding with a value of p = 0.000 there is a relationship between motivation and exclusive breastfeeding with a value of p = 0.032 this shows that the value of p < α = 0.05. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge, education, work, and motivation with exclusive breastfeeding. Suggestions for mothers who are breastfeeding can increase awareness to provide exclusive breastfeeding to their babies considering the role and function of breast milk from various aspects, such as aspects of maternal immunity and health, and working mothers are expected to pay more attention to exclusive breastfeeding to their babies, this is so that babies can meet the nutritional needs and growth of infant development Mothers with higher and low education must continue to breastfeed their babies and stay motivated to find out the nutritional needs of infants
Effectiveness of Topical Garlic Extract (Allium sativum) Cream on Wound Healing in Mice with Acute Injury Model Case Review of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Cytokine Expression
Wounds will cause problems if the handling is not good, causing chronic wounds. Garlic (Allium Sativum) is a typical tropical plant including Indonesia, whose tubers are often used in traditional medicine, including to heal wounds. (VEGF) as a Predictor of Wound Healing) in the rat model of acute injury. Experimental research was carried out using the Randomized Post Test Control Group design. This research was conducted using 4 laboratories, namely the Biopharmaca Research Activity Center (PKP) of Hasanuddin University for the process of making Garlic Extract Topical Cream (EBP), Animal Laboratory, Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University for the maintenance and treatment of experimental animals. , Laboratory of Histopathology Maros Veterinary Center for making Histopathology slides, using 54 Wistar strain Rattus novergicus rats by making excisions on the left and right backs with a diameter of 8 mm using a punc byopsia. Then the rats were divided into 3 groups, namely the negative control group of 0.9% NaCl, the positive control group of 3% oxytetracycline and the treatment group of 10% topical garlic extract cream. The wound tissue of each group was observed microscopically on days 3, 7 and 14. The results showed that wound healing using topical garlic extract cream (Allium sativum) was better than the control group by increasing the expression of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF)
Factors associated with toddler development
Introduction: Children are the nation's next generation; therefore, they need quality children to achieve a good future for the nation. Growth and development experience a rapid increase at an early age, namely from 0-5 years.
Objective: This study knows the factors related to toddler development.
Method: The research design uses correlational with a cross-sectional approach. The population of this study was all toddlers, as many as 250 toddlers. The sample of 71 toddlers used the sampling technique of proportionate random sampling. Test data analysis using the chi-square test, continue correction, and alternative Fisher’s exact test.
Results: This study showed a significant association between nutritional status (p = 0.04), history of chronic disease (p = 0.01), education (p = 0.04), history of childbirth (p = 0.03), stimulation (p = 0.04) with toddler development and there was no significant relationship between socioeconomic (p = 0.71) and toddler development.
Conclusion: there is a relationship between nutritional status, history of chronic disease, education, history of childbirth, and stimulation with toddler development. Health workers should be advised to detect child growth and development early by looking at the history of chronic diseases suffered and stimulating toddlers for optimal development
