Blow-up Analysis of Stationary Solutions to a Liouville-Type Equation in 3-D
In this paper we study the asymptotic behavior of sequences of stationary
weak solutions to the following Liouville-type equation , where is an open set of . By improving the partial
regularity estimates obtained by the first author for the above equation, we
succeed in performing a blow-up analysis without Morrey-type assumptions on the
solutions and on the nonlinearity Comment: 29 page

Estimating the economic impact of tourism industry through the MM approach
Tourism is one of the fastest growing industries in Italy and has proven to be a
valuable source of economic prosperity. The main issue emerging when measuring the
impact of tourism is that tourism is usually considered as a specific industry while in most
applied situations it shows traits of a complex and structured economic activity
characterized by a blend of different industries. We will identify the relationship among the
various industries making up the complex economic activity usually referred as the \u201ctourism
industry\u201d. This is done through the application of the multisectoral analysis to the Italian
case. The evaluation of tourism in terms of economic policy is performed through the
definition of an index of interaction among industries
Economic impact of monetary policy: Focus on real estate sector in Italy
This study investigates the nexus between financial market and real estate (RE) sector against the backdrop of ECB's unconventional monetary policy. A financial dynamic computable general equilibrium (DCGE) model is calibrated on the financial social accounting matrix (FSAM) of Italian economy. The findings confirm that the inclusion of financial intermediation into real economy affects the real estate sector's output, value added, and pricing
A Novel Approach to Synthesize Helix Wave Hollow Fiber Membranes for Separation Applications
Helix wave hollow fiber membranes are promising candidate to mitigate fouling and polarization effects in membrane operations. Current study describes a novel but simple approach to synthesize hollow fiber membranes with helix wave configuration. Poly(ether sulfone) (PES) based helix-waved hollow fiber membranes have been fabricated by dry-wet phase inversion process by using asymmetric coagulation conditions. Frequencies of the wave cycle have been observed approximately 20 and the wave length 7.1-7.6mm under the specifically required operating conditions defined by dope solution extrudate rate of 1g/min through 4cm of air-gap heights with 8.6m/min of winding speeds. On the other hand, simple hollow fibers are formed when the elongation force exerted by the winder is much higher than the surface tension of the external coagulant. The process can be useful for making polymer fibers for other applications as well
Electro-Weak Penguin and Leptonic Decays in BaBar
Electro-weak penguin and leptonic decays provide an indirect probe for
physics beyond the Standard Model and contribute to the determination of
Standard Model parameters. Copious quantities of B mesons produced at the
B-Factories permit precision measurements of the electro-weak penguin decays
and searches for leptonic decays. We review the current experimental status of
b -> s(d) gamma, B^0 -> D^{*0} gamma, b -> s l^+ l^- and finally B->tau nu

Rabbit Meat—Production, Consumption and Consumers’ Attitudes and Behavior
Rabbit meat could play an important role in health, the rural economy, and sustainable development. Rabbit meat has excellent nutritional features, such as high protein content, low-fat content, and a high percentage of unsaturated fatty acids, low cholesterol and sodium levels. In addition, rabbit meat production contributes to maintaining economic activities in rural marginal areas. However, the consumption of rabbit meat is still limited due to several factors such as the higher cost of commercial food that is slowing down rabbits’ breeding. Socio-demographic characteristics, attitudes, and nationality of consumers influence the demand and consumption of rabbit meat. The social and economic changes of the past years are leading to an increased interest in rabbit meat products with convenience characteristics. Consumers are also increasingly paying attention to animal husbandry methods for health concerns and ethical reasons. This paper presents an overview of rabbit meat focusing on production, nutritional composition, consumers’ preferences, and marketing. The review proposes strategies that, coupled with information campaigns could improve consumers’ knowledge of the positive characteristics of rabbit meat, which would contribute to the market development
