    Violence against women in Brazilian society: demands turned into public policies and the relevance of intersectoral actions

    The work results from a bibliographical researchand highlights the situation of women victim ofviolence in Brazil and the structural difficultiesin materializing intersectoral actions amonginstitutions engaged in this segment. It also resultsfrom discussions made at the SEPSASS / UFPB,with emphasis on the debate about Intersectoralitywithin social protection policies. The study isbased on experiences of professors and students inthe supervised training period at the "EdnalvaBezerra Reference Center for Women" in JoãoPessoa, PB.
