    Teak is a plant that cannot be removed from Indonesia culture. Therefore, people in Povelua do some cultivation of teak wood since the income has very high economic value and it much demand by consumers. This study aimed to describe the farmers’ income of teak wood cultivation. This study was conducted in December 2015 up to February 2016 in Povelua village of Centra Banawa at Donggala district. Data collection was administered through observation and interview by using Table Tally Sheet. Data were analyzed by field observation by way of intention (purposive sampling). Based on result study, the land area 1 ha with spacing 3 x 4 m, there is 833 tress. At the beginning of planting, the number of tress decreased during the harvest due to natural death  and thinning activities, but the result still can be utilized. The Paper mil accepts the small teak wood. The condition of teak at the harvest time was 25 years old amounted 350 trees. The economic value of teak wood is counted based on the income obtained from selling the wood. A number of trees harvested as much 350 tress with the total volume 173,0925 m3/ha and the average diameter are 30 cm, average free branch height is 10 m with per cubic Rp. 1.200.000. Then, the total sales of 350 tress by the land area 1 ha Rp 207.711.000 and reduced by the wage of workers who cut down the trees is p. 5.000.000/ha, therefore the total prediction of selling the teak wood in 1 ha is Rp. 202.711.000.Keywords: Farmers’ Income, Teak Wood, Povelu

    The hydrological benefit of forest on ecosystem stability,especially on the water system still remains under estimate, this under estimate is more important in the take of using water from the forest for direct community of our people. This study aimed to estimate the quantity economic value or the cost spended by each household in order to have advantage of using water the coming from the Sombe sub watershed which the method of calculating the charge using the rate calculation applicable at PDAM Uwe Lino in M3. This study was conducted at Palupi Sub-district Tatanga District Palu City, Central Sulawesi Which held in 3 month, namely May 2014 up to august 2014. Data collected includes primary and secondary data. Interviews were conducted to obtain data on the economic value water of water that is the willingness to pay on the improvement of the quality and quantity of treated water by PDAM. From water discharge data were obtained data on the economics value of water with the willingness to pay on the improvement of the quality and quantity of treated water by PDAM. From water discharge data or obtained the volume of water use was 0,315 m3/second. Water consumption for a year by the costumer at Palupi Sub-district with the total price paid was Rp.741.248.750m and average total willingness to pay (WTP) by consumer at palupi sub-district was Rp.808.635.000.     The forest product of non-timber is one of the forest resources, which is directly related to societies who live around the forest. The forest product of non-timber, such as candlenut can give or increase the revenue of people who live around the forest. Candlenut (Aleurites moluccana (L) Wild) is one of commodity that is potentially to be developed. This research aims to know the marketing channel of candlenut (A. moluccana (L) Wild) product and to help society in solving their problem; either development of their business or improvement their income from candlenut in Bakubakulu village, Palolo, Sigi regency. The collecting data techniques used in this research were sampling purposive and snowball sampling. The purpose sampling is a sample determining technique with certain consideration. The certain consideration criteria is the candlenut farmer in Bakubakulu area. The sample determination was 25% of the total population. The sample determining technique was done by snowball sampling technique; i.e. a sample determining technique, which is originally small amount and become large amount of sample later on. The results, there showed that are two marketing channels of candlenut in Bakubakulu. The first one is from farmers to a small collector to a big collector in Bakubakulu to a wholesaler in Mamuju regency, West Sulawesi. The second way is from farmers to a big collector in Bakubakulu to a wholesaler in Mamuju. The analysis of total marketing margin of candlenut in Bakubakulu is the same i.e. 6.97%. The results of efficiency analysis of the candlenut marketing in Bakubakulu are different for each channel. The efficiency of the first channel marketing is 1.12% and the second channel is 1.67%.     Population growth around the protected forest will increase the threat damage caused by uncontrolled land clearing which can damage the ecosystem environment. This study aimed to know people motivation in Mire Village, Ulubongka Sub-district, Tojo Una-Una Regency of protected forest area. Method of this study was qualitative descriptive, through collecting primary and secondary data. Both of these data were obtained from interview result with the respondent and some supporting data such as village government and literature study. Data analysis used Likert Scale 5-3-1, to find out how far community motivation toward protection forest in protected forest area in Mire. The result of this study indicated that ecological motivation is still quite dominant with a percentage (98,82%) by being in the motivated category compared with economic motivation by (62,35%) and social motivation (97,84%) in relation to regional safeguards of protected forest area in Mire. Ecology motivation is encouraged by the strong desire of people in Mire to preserve its forest area, including the preservation and ecosystem stability that will be maintained in the future. In an effort to protect the forest in Mire, people do replanting of critical lands and establishing village regulations along with the strict punishments for people violate the rules. Keywords: People Motivation, Protection Fores

    Perception is the process when a person obtains the information from surrounding environment. From this explanation, the public perception may be defined as a series of processes of cognition or recognition and affection or emotional evaluation activities (interest) community against an object, events, or relationships obtained by concluding information an interpret the message by using the listening media, sight, tentacle and etc. The method used descriptive exploratory qualitative approach by extracted key information respondents (key informant). So this study can describe a certain state or a group of people systematically, factual and accurate based on the facts on the ground. The data were collected through observation and free interview techniques. The population is visitors of GOR Park. Selection of informants was conducted with stratified sampling. From the results of this study, it indicates that the people of Palu City. Therefore, it is expected the government’s role in the management of city parks in Palu City have to be better and maintain quality parks.Key words : perception, social ekonomi and green open space

    Understanding Tourism, basically the scope of tourism consists of 3 elements, namely: human as a human element of tourism activities, place as a physical element that is actually covered by the activity itself and time as an element of time spent on the trip itself and while staying at the destination tour. The Tourism Sector is broadly a recreational activity outside the domicile of breaking away from routine work or seeking another atmosphere. Tourism has become an important part of the basic needs of developed countries and a small part of developing country society. Tourism is increasingly developing in line with social, cultural, economic, technological and political changes As a human activity, tourism is a very complex phenomenon of the movement of people, goods, and services. Tourism is closely related to organizations, institutional and individual relationships, service needs, and so on. The purpose of this study is to find out the factors that influence the intensity of visits and calculate the economic value of Nupabomba Waterfall Nature Tourism Objects based on the method of travel costs. The location of this research was carried out in the Natural Tourism Object of Nupabomba Waterfall in Tanantovea District, Donggala Regency. The sample used in this study was purposive sampling using the analysis of the Travel cost method. Based on the results of the research conducted the magnitude of the economic value of the Tumanggu Indah Waterfall Tourism Object using the trip cost method was 189,632 / visit with Visit Intensity 3 times.Keywords: Economic Value, Waterfall Nature Tourism, Nupabomba Village.

    Society wisdom or local wisdom is human positive behavior in interacting with nature and environment that derives from religion, customs, ancestor advice or local culture value. It occurs naturally in a community to adapt with environment. This behavior developed to a culture in a region and passed on from generation to generation. In general, local culture is defined as culture that developed in a region and the elements are culture of tribes that live in that region. Lauje tribe that live in Bambasiang Village is a community with a great culture identity which covered language and religion system that little different with tribes that live in other district. Objective of the research is to find out local wisdom of Lauje tribe in forest management. Method of the research is descriptive with using snowball sampling method. Based on the research result, the local wisdom of lauje tribe in forest management is still implementing their ancestor faith that already hereditary carried out.     Private forest is a concept of forest management that places society as the main sector in maintaining and using forest function, while the government has role as facilitator that supports the farmers community. The management and the development of  private forest in Sintuwu village Palolo subdistrict is a collaboration of Forestry and Plantation Department of Sigi District. The research was conducted for three months, began on April  up to the month of June 2015, located in Sintuwu village Palolo subdistrict Sigi district.  The research aimed to find out of how the process of Private Forest Management was done by the society. Data gathering was done by observing and interviewing with questionnaire. The data gathered analized descriptively. The result of the research showed that the management program of the private forest that made by Forestry and Plantation by full involvement of farmers community of Sintuwu village that established, and based on the result of interviewing the respondents of the farmers community who said that less attention from Forestry and Plantation Department then the Private Forest management was done individually without any coordination. All farmers community did the private forest management that included infrastructure, planting area management, planting, maintaining and supervising by their own ways without monitoring by the government, therefore at the end of the planting the plant, it was ignored for them less of information and no coordination of  the Forestry and Plantation Department about the next step that should be done in relation to the Private Forest management itself.Keywords: Institution, Society and Government, Private Fores

    The use of non-timber forest products in Indonesia has long been carried out by residents around the forest to meet their daily needs. The collection and exploitation of non-timber forest products has a significant role in reducing high unemployment and as a source of livelihood. One of the non-timber forest products known by the community around the forest is rattan. This study aims to determine the types and uses of rattan in the village of Bangga, South Dolo District, Sigi Regency. The usefulness of this research can provide benefits both for the researchers themselves and for the people who live around the forest in the form of using rattan by the people of Proud Village, South Dolo District, Sigi Regency. This research was conducted in Bangga Village, South Dolo District, Sigi Regency from February to April 2020. The types of data used in this study were primary data and secondary data. The results showed that the types of rattan plants used by the people of Proud Village found 4 types of rattan plants. Namely rattan rods, rattan tohiti, symbols, rattan ronti.     Indonesia is a country that is rich in forests, since centuries ago it has interacted strongly with forests, so that forests and humans have become one unit. Forest management in Indonesia is carried out to provide benefits for citizens in general and forest communities in particular. The benefits in question can be realized through optimal forest planning and management in accordance with forest functions. Determination of appropriate forest management is carried out to realize sustainable forest conditions and optimally benefit the community, both directly and indirectly. Law 41 of 1999 on forestry mandates the establishment of forest management areas at the provincial, district/city levels, and management units in the form of the smallest forest management units (KPH) according to their main functions and designations. The implementation of forest management in FMUs is an embodiment to carry out forest management which includes forest management activities, the government's efforts to emphasize the law above are the issuance of PP 6/2007 in conjunction with PP 3 of 2008 concerning forest governance, Preparation of Forest Management Plans, as well as forest utilization that is sustainable. explained that KPH includes Conservation KPH (KPHK), Protected KPH (KPHL), Production KPH (KPHP). This research was conducted at the location of the Production Forest of Karya Mukti Village, Dampelas District, Donggala Regency. Implementation time from October to December 2014. Sources of data obtained in this study consisted of secondary and primary data. The method used to collect data is observation and interview methods, namely direct observation of the object to be studied and questions and answers using a question guide in the form of a questionnaire. From the results of the research, it can be concluded that the biophysical conditions of the location are very appropriate for the use of non-timber forest products using rubber plantations because they can provide ecological benefits for environmental improvement and optimizing forest functions again. The development of HTR in the form of community empowerment in Karya Mukti Village is in accordance with the socio-economic conditions of the community because it can provide economic benefits to increase people's income
