Simplified Surgical Placement of Tenckhoff Catheter under Local Anesthesia: The Dammam Central Hospital Experience

Many methods are used for the placement of Tenckhoff catheters. Eighteen consecutive Tenckhoff catheters were placed under local anesthesia through a mini laparotomy with a reduced operating team. There were only three total catheter failures. Complications were infrequent and operating time was less than one hour on average.
