Purpose: The article is aimed at describing a model of self-education of primary school children's parents and the results of its testing in a primary school in a multi-ethnic educational space. The leading technology of organizing self-education for parents of primary students and formation of their methods of auto-didactics is the technology of poly directional pedagogical counseling. Methodology: The following methods of measuring the effectiveness of the offered program were used: SWOT - analysis of educational problems of primary school children in a multi-ethnic educational organization, analysis of research data on related topics, pedagogical modeling, studying students' work, observation, and survey methods with graphical interpretation of the data. Result: The result of the study was a unique model of inclusion of primary students’ parents in the educational space of a multi-ethnic school. In accordance with the authors' model, an awareness program was launched for parents of primary school children. Applications: The research materials can be useful for primary school teachers, for parents of primary students, as well as for specialists in the system of additional education in working with multi-ethnic children groups, as well as for social teachers in working with migrant families to build a non-conflict educational environment. Novelty/Originality: The originality of the study lies in the development of a model for the inclusion of parents of younger schoolchildren in the educational space of a multi-ethnic school through parental self-education organized by school teachers

Front portico with quadriga sculpture (Apollo in the Chariot of the Sun); The Bolshoi Theatre's original name was the Imperial Bolshoi Theatre of Moscow, while the St. Petersburg Bolshoi Theatre (demolished in 1886), was called the Imperial Bolshoi Kamenny Theatre. Bove had a leading role in the creation of Moscow’s first regular ensemble, Theatre Square, built to a single overall plan. The main building in the square, the Bol’shoy Theatre, was built (1821-1824) by Bove reworking a design by Andrey Mikhailov. In 1855-1856 Kavos won a competition to restore the façades and interiors of the Bol’shoy Theatre in Moscow after a fire there. He retained the Empire-style façade but reworked the interiors in neo-Baroque style. Source: Grove Art Online; http://www.oxfordartonline.com/ (accessed 6/17/2009

General view; Kavos’s main work, however, was the construction of theatres. In 1843 he restored the unusual wooden theatre on Stone Island (Kamenny ostrov), and in 1847-1848 he built a theatre-cum-circus on Theatre (Teatral’naya) Square and restored it in 1859-1860 after a fire. The Renaissance Revival façade and the interiors of the theatre, now known as the Mariinsky or Kirov, were altered (1883-1886) by Viktor Shreter. [It is known abroad as the Kirov, and locally as the Mariinskiy.] Source: Grove Art Online; http://www.oxfordartonline.com/ (accessed 1/16/2009

Functional activity of intestinal microbiota with metabolic syndrome

    No full text
Actuality: The metabolic syndrome (MS) is a multifactorial disease involved in the pathogenesis of many systems and organs, including the digestive system. Accumulating evidence signify the role of microorganisms in many metabolic processes and suggest human microbiota involvement in the development of different pathologic conditions, including the MS.The aim: To evaluate the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the functional activity of intestinal microbiota in individuals with MS.Materials and methods: The study involved 85 subjects with MS divided into 4 groups according to BMI. Determination of the short chain fatty acids in the feces was carried out by gas-liquid chromatographic studies. Results: Chromatographic examination of feces revealed changes in both qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the functional activity of the intestinal microbiota in people with MS. The severity of disturbances in microbiota correlated with BMI. In all groups with excess body weight the overall metabolic activity of microorganisms was decreased. In grade 2 obesity there was an increases in the activity of aerobic microorganisms populations, mostly of optional and residual strains. The grade 3 obesity is accompanied by the most significant changes in coprologic profile with the activation of proteolytic microorganisms. Conclusions: These data suggest the presence of pathogenic correlations between obesity, MS, and intestinal microbiota. In this regard, it is necessary to search for causal relationships oin onset and progression of metabolic disorders involving the bowel microbiota in MS.

The constitutional reform still lasts because of the lack of defined by the science and practice tools of constitutional modernization and reformation. These tools are necessary to create the conditions for building the system of modern Ukrainian constitutionalism

Preservation of exceptional vertebrate assemblages in Middle Permian fluviolacustrine mudstones of Kotel'nich, Russia : stratigraphy, sedimentology, and taphonomy

The Kotel'nich locality in European Russia has long been a rich source of high-quality tetrapod fossils, including pareiasaurs, dicynodonts, gorgonopsians and theriodonts. The age of the Kotel'nich locality has been debated, but it corresponds to early Severodvinian in the Russian stratigraphic scheme, equivalent to the late Capitanian (late Middle Permian) on the international time scale. Remarkably, the majority of specimens are complete, quite unlike those from most Russian Permo-Triassic red bed localities; commonest of all are 1–2-metre long pareiasaur skeletons of the genus Deltavjatia, preserved in hollows on top of a consolidated palaeosol horizon. Previous taphonomic scenarios in the Russian literature have included suggestions that the animals were overwhelmed beneath sand dunes, mired in soft fluviatile sediments, caught at the bottom of a deep lake, trapped in burrows, or dumped in fluviatile scours. It is probable that the pareiasaurs were searching for water in a time of catastrophic aridification, and died, weakened, in shallow hollows. In this case, we also emphasise the importance of floodplain microtopography in creating the sedimentary conditions necessary for the preservation of exceptional vertebrate assemblages in a slowly aggrading fluviolacustrine setting
