Robust vehicle suspension system by converting active and passive control of a vehicle to semi-active control ystem analytically
This research article deals with a simplified translational model of an automotive suspension system which is constructed by considering the translation motion of one wheel of a car. Passive Vehicle Suspension System is converted into Semi Active Vehicle System. Major advantage achieved by this system is that it adjusts the damping of the suspension system without the application of any actuator by using MATLAB® simulations. The semi-active control is found to control the vibration of suspension system very well
Generation of electrical energy using lead zirconate titanate (PZT-5A) piezoelectric material: Analytical, numerical and experimental verifications
Energy harvesting is the process of attaining energy from the external sources and transforming it into usable electrical energy. An
analytical model of piezoelectric energy harvester has been developed to determine the output voltage across an electrical circuit when it
is forced to undergo a base excitation. This model gives an easy approach to design and investigate the behavior of piezoelectric material.
Numerical simulations have been carried out to determine the effect of frequency and loading on a Lead zirconate titanate (PZT-5A)
piezoelectric material. It has been observed that the output voltage from the harvester increases when loading increases whereas its resonance
frequency decreases. The analytical results were found to be in good agreement with the experimental and numerical simulation

GLOBAL RECESSION & GLOBAL FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS: EVIDENCE FROM TOP 100 GLOBAL BRANDS (2001 – 2015)
This paper aims to present the brand equity trends among top banks and financial brands during 2001-15. The research uses the data published by world’s leading brand consultancy Interbrand. During 2001-2015, a total of 19 financial brands from seven countries appeared in the top 100 global brands list. Analyses were made on the basis of cumulative brand equity, average brand equity and growth patterns. Some major trends presented in this paper are; (a) global economic recession (2008-2009) affected the financial brands more than other sectors; (b) different clusters of financial institutions moved differently during recession and afterwards (c) dominance of American financial brands remained the key observation. JEL: D02, E02, G21, F01 Article visualizations
Sports Tourism In Post Conflict Peace Building: Evidence From Swat, Pakistan
Taliban uprising in Swat followed by military operations and floods severely damaged the tourism industry of Swat. Skiing festival in Malamjabba and Aman Festival in Kalam were instrumental in bringing tourists back to Swat in post conflict scenario. The study focused on the contribution of Skiing at MalamJabba in revival of tourism and post conflict peace building. Mixed method approach was used to collect data from fifty respondents that included tourists, tourism service providers and representatives of relevant stake holders from government and private organizations. Questionnairs followed by in depth interviews were used to collect the data. Findings of the study indicated that skiing played a very important role in the revival of tourism. Most of the tourist whose primary motivation was skiing at Malamjabbaalso visited or had intentions to visit other areas of Swat. Local communities are engaged in the industry at different levels constituting about 91 percent of the total labor force. Winter sports and increasing range of tourism products means increasing tourist season in the area that provides sustainable source of livelihoods for local community. Engagement of youth in sports and income generating activities provides an important tool for the peace building in the area
Multi-Agent Systems for Control and Monitoring of Dams
In AI, Multi Agent System (MAS) approach is used by many applications such as in robotics, communication network and in vehicles management. In this paper, author proposed a model of intelligent agents to assist the operator in analyzing the level of water in a Dam, and helps in supplying of waters towards power station or lake. The problems which are encountered in development, working, controlling and monitoring of large Dams are: cost, manpower and assessment of level of water.  In this paper, the working of proposed MAS is represented in two fold; firstly Assessment Agent, analyze the level of water in lake according to define validation rules and secondly data is collected from water supply agent and power station agent. This model helps to improve and synchronize the management and control process of water of different Dams. Keywords: Cost, Control Process , Multi Agent System , Intelligent Agen
Experimental investigation of the heat transfer from the helical coil heat exchanger using bubble injection for cold thermal energy storage system
This study investigates cold thermal energy storage (CTES) using a helical coil heat exchanger modified with bubble injection. One of the effective methods for increasing the heat transfer rate in heat exchangers is using bubble injection. A helical coil heat exchanger is immersed inside a cylindrical water storage tank, where the helical coil is the evaporator of a vapor compression refrigeration cycle (VCRC) and provides the designed cooling. Experimental studies were carried out to examine the impact of bubble injection on Nusselt number, the temperature differences in the storage tank, exergy degradation in the evaporator, and cycle coefficient of performance (COP). The bubbles were injected from the bottom of the storage tank in four different geometries at airflow rates ranging from 3 to 11 L/min. The experimental results of this study revealed that bubble injection could significantly increase the COP and heat transfer rate from the storage tank, as well as the exergy destruction and Nusselt number (Nu). This increase was highly dependent on the geometry and flow rate of the bubble injection. The results also indicated that the bubble injection has an optimal flow rate value, which was 9 L/min in this study. More specifically, the COP of the refrigeration cycle and the Nu number increased by 124% and 452%, respectively, compared to the non-bubble injection mode. Finally, for calculating the outside Nusselt number of the helical coil, an empirical correlation as a function of bubble flow rate and bubble injection angle was proposed
Selection of Web Services using Service Agent: An optimized way for the selection of Non-functional requirements
Web Services provide a promising results and solution according to the needs and requirements with fast & flexible manners for information sharing among different peoples and businesses. The major key issue in research in Web Services is the selection process which is most difficult & cumbersome because the increasing numbers of services that can not meet or fulfill all the non- functional requirements like performance, efficiency, reliability sensitivity etc. moreover for web services selection for Library System, the author suggests a model to select the searching material only related to books in hard copy form, softcopy form, read only and printable from. The Author suggests an agent for the selection of these books from the web. When any body else who wants to search a specific book from the web, then this service agent will show all the web sites where books will be available. The agent generates a list of books with their all user's needs and Non-functional requirements. On the basis of these non-functional requirements the user can pick the book according to the document provided by service agent. Keywords: Service Agent, Non-functional requirement, Web service
Cloud Based Dedicated Application for Multiple Organizations: Cloud Computing for All Organizations
Desktop applications should be run over the cloud environment. This is the slogan of those organization which are familiar with the cloud computing. Organization's members are not only responsible for smooth running of desktop application but also have a burden of successful running of database server, back & recovery devices, time and cost of human efforts. CBCS (Cloud Based Custom Software) is the solution of such issues. Development companies are responsible for development of CBCS of an organization. Although CBCS is a dedicated service to an organization, but existing CBCS can also dedicate to other organization when development companies will follow the CBDAMO (Cloud Based Dedicated Customized Application for Multiple Organization) technique. This is 6-layer technique which provides a smooth way to development companies for reusing the existing CBCS to new CBCS. Key Words: Cloud Computing, CBCS, DBCS, CBDAMO, Development Companie
