E-BANKING: A CASE STUDY OF ASKARI COMMERCIAL BANK PAKISTAN

This paper has covered the operational issues related to e-banking as well as customer’s perception on usage of e-banking a case study of Askari Bank, Pakistan. 40 staff members and four customers are selected as sample for this study. Both qualitative and quantitative methods are used to present the results. Descriptive statistics is applied to describe the demographic variables while for operational problems correlation was used. Finally cross case analysis present customers’ perception about e-banking practices. Analysis shows that customer is not ready to adopt new technology that why their satisfaction level with e-banking is low. Internet speed and government policies are not supportive for e-banking in Pakistan. Due to lack of trust on technology and low computer literacy rate, customer hesitates to adopt new technology. : In order to promote IT culture in Pakistan, government has to reduce the internet rate. to promote the benefits of e-banking on media so that more user get facilitated from e-banking services.E-banking, Internet, ATM, Online transaction, E-readiness, Technology Acceptance Models

Smart Provisioning of Sliceable Bandwidth Variable Transponders in Elastic Optical Networks

Prior provisioning of optical source technologies have techno-economic importance for the operator during the design and planning of optical network architectonics. Advancement towards the latest technology paradigm such as Elastic Optical Networks (EONs) and Software Defined Networking (SDN) open a gateway for a flexible and re-configurable optical network architecture. In order to achieve the required degree of flexibility, a flexible and dynamic behaviour is required both at the control and data plane. In this regards, SDN-enabled flexible optical transceivers are proposed to provide the required degree of flexibility. Sliceable Bandwidth Variable Transponders (SBVTs) is one of the recent type of flexible optical transceivers. Based on the type/technology of optical carrier source, the SBVTs are categorized into two types; Multi-Laser SBVT (ML-SBVT) and Multi-wavelength SBVT (MW-SBVT). Both architectures have their own pros and cons when it comes to accommodate traffic request. In this paper, we propose a selection model for the SBVTs before its actual deployment in the network. The selection model consider various design and planning phase network characteristics. In addition to this selection model, the comparison of centralized Flex-OCSM architecture is also presented with the already discussed SBVT types. The analysis in this work is performed on random network (20 nodes) and the German Network (17 nodes)

Ksilanaze i njihova primjena u pekarskoj industriji

Xylan is the second most abundant polysaccharide and a major component of plant cell wall. Cereal xylans contain large quantities of L-arabinose and are therefore, often referred to as arabinoxylans. Xylanases are hydrolytic enzymes, which randomly cleave the β-1,4 backbone of this complex plant cell wall polysaccharide. Different species of Aspergillus and Trichoderma produce these enzymes. Xylanases are of great value in baking as they have been found to improve the bread volume, crumb structure and reduce stickiness. When xylanases are used at optimum levels, they play a significant role in increasing shelf life of bread and reduce bread staling. There is an increasing trend in baking industry towards the application of xylanases in bread production. This review discusses the application of xylanase in the bakery industry, alone and in combination with other enzymes when it shows synergism in the action with them.Ksilan je drugi najčešći polisaharid i glavni sastojak stanične stijenke biljaka. Ksilani žitarica sadržavaju veliku količinu L-arabinoze i stoga ih često nazivaju arabinoksilanima. Ksilanaze su hidrolitički enzimi koji nasumce cijepaju β-1,4 vezu tih složenih polisaharida. Proizvode ih različite vrste plijesni rodova Aspergillus i Trichoderma. Vrlo su važne u pekarstvu jer povećavaju obujam kruha, poboljšavaju strukturu mrvica te smanjuju ljepljivost. Dodatkom optimalne količine ksilanaza povećava se trajnost i smanjuje starenje kruha, pa se u pekarskoj industriji sve više koriste. U ovom se revijalnom radu raspravlja o njihovoj mogućoj primjeni te kombiniranoj primjeni ksilanaza i drugih enzima sa sinergijskim djelovanjem

Accident Recognition via 3D CNNs for Automated Traffic Monitoring in Smart Cities

© 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG. Automatic recognition of road accidents in traffic videos can improve road safety. Smart cities can deploy accident recognition systems to promote urban traffic safety and efficiency. This work reviews existing approaches for automatic accident detection and highlights a number of challenges that make accident detection a difficult task. Furthermore, we propose to implement a 3D Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based accident detection system. We customize a video game to generate road traffic video data in a variety of weather and lighting conditions. The generated data is preprocessed using optical flow method and injected with noise to focus only on motion and introduce further variations in the data, respectively. The resulting data is used to train the model, which was then tested on real-life traffic videos from YouTube. The experiments demonstrate that the performance of the proposed algorithm is comparable to that of the existing models, but unlike them, it is not dependent on a large volume of real-life video data for training and does not require manual tuning of any thresholds

Prevalence of Bovine Brucellosis in Organized Dairy Farms, Using Milk ELISA, in Quetta City, Balochistan, Pakistan

A total of 200 milk samples from cattle (n = 86) and buffalo (n = 114) were evaluated using milk ring test (MRT) and indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (i-ELISA). The overall prevalence was found to be 3% and 8.5% in cattle and buffaloes using MRT and i-ELISA, respectively. The prevalence was 4.6% and 1.7% in cattle and buffalo using MRT, respectively, while i-ELISA exhibited 20% and 0% in cattle and buffalo, respectively. The prevalence was higher in government dairy farm, compared to privately owned dairy farm. This paper points out an alarming situation in the target area with respect to the public health significance

In the crystal, mol­ecules are held together by weak inter­molecular C—H⋯O non-classical hydrogen bonds, resulting in centrosymmetric dimeric units, forming 14-membered ring systems which may be described as R 2 2(14) ring motifs. Moreover, mol­ecules lying about inversion centers show π–π inter­actions, with centroid–centroid separations between the benzene rings of 3.676 (2) Å
