    Study on the effect of the combination of natural and artificial foods on the survival and growth rate of selais (Kryptopterus lais) was done. The objective  of the study was to know the effect of the several feed combination on the growth and survival rate of Kryptopterus lais. A completely randomized design was applied with five treatments and two replications. The combination of the treatments consisted of 5 levels i.e. (A): Giving Moina sp on the 2-13th day, followed by Tubifex sp on the 11-21st day and 30% Tubifex sp + 15% pellet on the 21-30th day; (B): giving Moina sp on the 2-13th day, followed by Tubifex sp on 11- 21st day and 30% Tubifex sp + 15% pellets on the 21-30th; (C ): giving Artemia sp on the 2-9th day, followed by Tubifex sp on 7-21st day and 30% on Tubifex sp + 15% pellets; (D): Giving Artemia salina on the 2-13th day, followed by Tubifex sp on the 11-21st day and 30% Tubifex sp + 15% pellet on the 21-30th day; (E): Giving Tubifex sp on the 2-13th day, followed by Tubifex sp on the 11-21st day and 30%, and Tubifex sp+15% pellets on the 21-30th day. The hhighest survival of larva was recorded at the treatement E (combination among Tubifex sp giving on the 1-13th day, Tubifex sp on the 11th day,  30% Tubifex sp + 15% pellet) namely 34.67%. While the highest growth of weight and length was found  at the treatment D (giving Artemia salina on the 2-13th day, followed by Tubifex sp on the 11-21st day and 30% Tubifex sp+15% pellets on the 21-30th day), respectively, were 2.55 gr and 7.31 cm

    The study aims to determine the feeding of different products on the growth of the fish slice. Culture vessel in the form of net bags of 1 x 1 x 1.2 (m) of 9 bags with stocking density 20 birds. The method used experiment with completely randomized design (CRD), three treatments and three looping. Such treatment is P1 = Feeding Comfeed products, P2 = Feeding Sun products, and P3 = Feeding Charoen Pokphand products. From the results of research feeding with different products derived growth to slice fish weight of 17.23 grams P1, P2 was 19.26 grams, and P3 of 17.83 gr. The growth of the fish slice length of 4.13 cm for P1, P2 and P3 of 5.30 cm is 27 cm. The growth rate of daily weight of the fish slice to P1sebesar 2.13%, with a value of 2.27% P2 and P3 of 2.19%. Slice fish mortality during the study for as many as 1 tail P1, P2 and P3 2 tails as much as 1 tail. For all three types of feed of different products is not a significant effect on the growth of the fish slice. Water quality parameters for such a study, the water temperature ranges from 25-28 ° C, acidity (pH) of 5-8, dissolved oxygen (DO) between 5.97 to 6.38 ppm, and ammonia (NH3) between 0.19 - 0.32 ppm.     Studies on the survival and growth of fish larvae baung by a silk worm enriched with probiotics and Habbatussauda has been done in Fish Seed Faperta UIR Riau Pekanbaru, from the month of February to March 2016. The purpose of the study to determine the survival and growth of fish larvae baung. The results showed survival rate of fish larvae best baung in treatment P2 (Probiotic + Habbatussauda Giving a dose of 0.2 mg / g diet) amounted to 91.33%. Baung fish larvae survival level highest in P2 at 91.33% and the lowest at 80.67% Po. The growth of absolute weight and length of the absolute highest was found in treatment P2 (Probiotic + Habbatussauda Giving a dose of 0.2 mg / g diet) each - each ie 0.4369 g and 3.67 cm

    This study aims to determine the effect of giving POC with different time ranges on abundance. The study was carried out for 18 days in the Microalgae Laboratory of the Fish Seed Institute of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru. The method used is a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments 3 replications, namely: P1 giving POC on day 5, P2 giving POC on day 6, P3 giving POC on day 7, P4 giving POC on day -8 and P5 administration of POC on the 9th day. From the results of the study, the highest density of Chlorella sp was found on P3 treatment with a total density of 9,833,333 cells/ml on the 5th day. The lowest average peak was in the treatment of P1 with 2,566,667 cells/ml on the 12th day. Water quality such as temperature ranged from 25 to 300 C and pH between 6.5-7

    ABSTRACT This research was conducted for 21 days starting from November 12 until December 2, 2017. Located at the Seed Fish Hall (BBI) Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of silkworm with the different percentages on the survival and growth of baung larvae (H. nemurus). The method used was an experimental method using Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 4 treatments and 3 replications namely, P1 (Giving silkworm 3%/fish weight), P2 (Giving silkworm 6%/fish weight), P3 (Giving silkworm 9%/ weight of fish) and P4 (12% silkworm/fish weight). The test fish used were larvae of 3-day-old bamboo fish with an average weight of 0.02 gr and an average length of 0,7 cm. Larva baung fish obtained from the spawning in the Seed Fish Hall (BBI) Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau Pekanbaru. The container used is 10 liters or 10 liters capacity. From the research result, the best survival percentage on P4 is 90%, then P3 is 89%, then P2 is 87% and the lowest at P1 is 85%. The absolute and absolute highest absolute growth is found in P4 weighing 0,28 gr and length 2.13 cm, then P3 weighing 0,27 gr and length 2,10 cm, then P2 weighing 0,26 gr and the next 2,07 cm length lowest on P1 weighing 0.24 gr and length of 2,03 cm. The highest daily growth rate was also found in P4 13,81%, P3 13,57%, P2 13,32%, and the lowest in P1 was 13,05%. Keywords: Silk Worms, Survival, Growth, Baun

    A study on the effect of stocking density toward growth rate of selais fish (Kryptopterus lais) was conducted in  Betung lake, located in core zone of  biosphere reserve of Giam Siak Kecil Bukit Batu,   Riau Province from 1th May – 30 June 2011.  The objective  of  the study  was to determine  the effect of the stocking density  on the growth  of selais fish reared  in floating cages that placed into the Betung lake.  The research used completely randomsize design experimental method with   thee treatments of density and three replications.  There were 10 fish/m³, 20 fish/m³ and 30 fish/m³. The seed of fish were placed into cages (1 m x 1 m x 1.2 m) and reared for 60 days. Commercial feed was given three times a day with 33% of protein. The result showed that stocking density had a significant effect on growth rate of K. lais. The best stock density was 10 fish/m³ and giving highest growth rate and daily growth rapid of selais fish, namely 23.7 gr and 2.55 %, respectively

    This research aims to know the effect of the difference in percentage increase of silkworm by larvae age on the survival and growth of larvae (Hemibagrus nemurus). The method used is experimental method using Completely Random Design (RAL) with 4 treatments and 3 replications namely, P1 (Improvement Percentage 3%, 5% and 7%), P2 (3%, 6% and 9% Percentage increase), P3 (3%, 7% and 11%) P4 (3%, 8% and 13% ). The test fish used were bamboo larvae that were 7 days old with an average weight of 0.0004 gr and an average length of 0.8 cm. Larva fish obtained from the spawning in the Seed Fish Hall (BBI) Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau Pekanbaru. The container used is 10 liters or 12 liters water capacity. The result of the research showed the best survival percentage was on P4 treatment, which is 96,00%, followed by P3 treatment that is 94,67%, P2 treatment is 90,67% and lowest is P1, that is 86,67 %. The absolute weight growth and the highest absolute length were at treatment (P4) with weighing 0.30 gr and length 3.35 cm, followed by treatment (P3) that is 0.32 gr and length 3.02 cm, (P2) weighing 0.31 gr and length of 2.84 cm, (P1) weighing 0.30 gr and length 2.77 cm. The highest growth rate of daily weight was also found in treatment (P4), ie 11%, (P3) 10,46%, (P2) 10,24%, and the lowest in treatment (P1) 10,12%

    PENGARUH PERBEDAAN RENTANG WAKTU PERENDAMAN LARVA DALAM LARUTAN PROBITIK TERHADAP KELULUSHIDUPAN DAN PERTUMBUHAN IKAN SELAIS (Kryptopterus lais)

    This research was conducted in order to determine the effect of interval time of submersion of larvae in solution of probiotics on the survival and growth of Kryptopterus lais. The experiment design used was completely randomized design, consisted four treatments and three replications i.e. without submersion of larvae in probiotic’s solution (P1); submersion of larvae in probiotic’s solution with interval one times in 2 days (P2); submersion of larvae in probiotic’s solution with interval one times in 4 days; submersion of larvae in probiotic’s solution with interval  one times in 6 days (P3). The  results showed that the treatment of  P3 provided the best survival rate (91.33%), absolute body weight (0.60g) and absolute body length (5.6 cm).  The interval time of submersion of fish larvae in probiotic’s solution  had not significant difference on survival rate  and growth rate of K.lais larvae (P>0,05)
