Usability and Feasibility Study of a Remote Cognitive Behavioral Therapy System with Long-Term Unemployed Women
We present the results of the use of a cognitive behavioral therapeutic intervention tool to improve the mental, physical, and social health of a group of long-term unemployed women in Spain. Method: We sent automated text messages (SMS) to the mobile phones of long-term unemployed women selected at random from public social services. During a 28-day intervention period, women received four daily automated text messages on her mobile phone on a predetermined hourly schedule. We measured depression symptoms at the start and end of the intervention and we analyzed qualitative data to determine the acceptability of a remote SMS program. Results: Depression symptoms using the Personal Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), went from an average of 13.8 at baseline to 4.9 at the end of 28 days (p = 0.89). One hundred percent of the women reported that they liked receiving the text messages and most found them helpful
Determined Admissible Sets
It is shown, from hypotheses in the region of Woodin cardinals,
that there is a transitive model of KP + AD containing all reals.Comment: 15 page
Exact thermodynamics of a planar array of Ginzburg-Landau chains with nn and nnn interactions
The exact expression of the free energy of a planar array of a
Ginzburg-Landau chains with nn and nnn interaction is obtained. The critical
behaviour of the specific heat is not qualitatively modified by taking into
account the nnn interaction
The consistency strength of long projective determinacy
We determine the consistency strength of determinacy for projective games of length omega(2). Our main theorem is that Pi(1)(n+1)-determinacy for games of length omega(2) implies the existence of a model of set theory with omega + n Woodin cardinals. In a first step, we show that this hypothesis implies that there is a countable set of reals A such that M-n(A), the canonical inner model for n Woodin cardinals constructed over A, satisfies A = R and the Axiom of Determinacy. Then we argue how to obtain a model with omega + n Woodin cardinal from this.
We also show how the proof can be adapted to investigate the consistency strength of determinacy for games of length omega(2) with payoff in (sic)(R)Pi(1)(1) or with sigma-projective payoff
Self-synchronized duty-cycling for sensor networks with energy harvesting capabilities: Implementation in Wiselib
In this work we present a protocol for a self- synchronized duty-cycling mechanism in wireless sensor net- works with energy harvesting capabilities. The protocol is im- plemented in Wiselib, a library of generic algorithms for sensor networks. Simulations are conducted with the sensor network simulator Shawn. They are based on the specifications of real hardware known as iSense sensor nodes. The experimental results show that the proposed mechanism is able to adapt to changing energy availabilities. Moreover, it is shown that the system is very robust against packet loss.Postprint (published version
