The theme of dawn in ancient Christian poetry
The theme of Dawn, which is present in the epics of Homer and later on in the poetry of Vergil and Ovid, was also present in ancient Christian poetry. This, on one side was due to ancient education, that included works by classical authors. On the other side, it resulted from the desire by Christian artists to mimic pagan masters. The theme of dawn is an example of acquasition of poetic patterns, but it also shows the original thought of Christian poets who gave it new meaning, identifying the Aurora with Christ
Import and Trading of Crops and Rape from Ukraine – Effectiveness of State Bodies’ Activities
Import pszenicy z Ukrainy do Polski wzrósł w 2022 r. o blisko 17 000%, a kukurydzy prawie o 30 000%. In 2022, the import of wheat from Ukraine to Poland increased by almost 17,000 percent, while the import of corn – by almost 30,000 percent. From January 2022 to April 2023, 541 entities imported 4.3 million tonnes of crops and oil producing plants in total, PLN 6.2 billion worth. Most of these products – instead of reaching, in transit, the countries that suffered their shortages, due to the Russian blockade on export through the Black Sea – stayed in Poland. Disrupted prices and purchases on the Polish market, as well as the protests and expectations of Polish farmers, were the reason why NIK undertook an ad hoc audit of state bodies’ activities in this situation. In the opinion of NIK, delayed activities of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development related to increased imports of Ukrainian crops and rape, which were not based on proper analyses and which, in the first place, were ineffective, did not solve the problem
