EXAMINING THE CRB INDEX AS AN INDICATOR FOR U.S. INFLATION
This paper analyzes historical movements in the commodity futures market and the relationship to inflation. Specifically, the relationship between the Commodity Research Bureau (CRB) Index and United States inflation is investigated. It is said that the relationship between the CRB index and the U.S. inflation rate was greater in the some periods than in another period. Then in recent times the CRB Index has proven to be a reliable early indicator of inflation. As the composition of the United States economy changes, the Commodity Research Bureau must make adjustments in order to provide a viable service.CRB index, Commodities Research Bureau, inflation, Vector Autoregression, Marketing, Public Economics, E00, E30,
Phase transition and hybrid star in a SU(2) chiral sigma model
We use a modified SU(2) chiral sigma model to study nuclear matter at high
density using mean field approach. We also study the phase transition of
nuclear matter to quark matter in the interior of highly dense neutron stars.
Stable solutions of Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff equations representing hybrid
stars are obtained with a maximum mass of 1.69 , radii around 9.3
kms and a quark matter core constituting nearly 55-85 % of the star radii.Comment: 19 pages, 9 figures, accepted for Mod. Phys. Letts.

Type IIA Orientifold Limit of M-Theory on Compact Joyce 8-Manifold of Spin(7)-Holonomy
We show that M-theory compactified on a compact Joyce 8-manifold of
-holonomy, which yields an effective theory in with = 1
supersymmetry, admits at some special points in it moduli space a description
in terms of type IIA theory on an orientifold of compact Joyce 7-manifold of
-holonomy. We find the evidence in favour of this duality by computing the
massless spectra on both M-thory side and type IIA side. For the latter, we
compute the massless spectra by going to the orbifold limit of the Joyce
7-manifold.Comment: 26 pages, 2 eps figures, Latex file, two references and one footnote

Phase Transition and Hybrid Star in a Nonlinear model
The phase transition between the nuclear matter and the quark matter is
examined. The relativistic mean field theory(RMF) is consider with interacting
nucleons and mesons using TM1 parameter set for the nuclear matter equations of
state. It is found that the trasition point depends on coupling constant
and bag pressure. From the study of the structure of a hybrid
neutron star, it is observed that the star contains quark matter in the
interior and neutron matter on the outer perifery.Comment: 8 pages, 7 figures, to appear in Int. J. Mod. Phy.
Kahler Independence of the G2-MSSM
The G2-MSSM is a model of particle physics coupled to moduli fields with
interesting phenomenology both for colliders and astrophysical experiments. In
this paper we consider a more general model - whose moduli Kahler potential is
a completely arbitrary G2-holonomy Kahler potential and whose matter Kahler
potential is also more general. We prove that the vacuum structure and spectrum
of BSM particles is largely unchanged in this much more general class of
theories. In particular, gaugino masses are still supressed relative to the
gravitino mass and moduli masses. We also consider the effects of higher order
corrections to the matter Kahler potential and find a connection between the
nature of the LSP and flavor effects.Comment: Final version, matches the version published in JHE
Multi-frequency, Multi-Epoch Study of Mrk 501: Hints for a two-component nature of the emission
Since the detection of very high energy (VHE) -rays from Mrk 501, its
broad band emission of radiation was mostly and quite effectively modeled using
one zone emission scenario. However, broadband spectral and flux variability
studies enabled by the multiwavelength campaigns carried out during the recent
years have revealed rather complex behavior of Mrk 501. The observed emission
from Mrk 501 could be due to a complex superposition of multiple emission
zones. Moreover new evidences of detection of very hard intrinsic -ray
spectra obtained from {\it Fermi}--LAT observations have challenged the
theories about origin of VHE -rays. Our studies based on {\it
Fermi}--LAT data indicate the existence of two separate components in the
spectrum, one for low energy -rays and the other for high energy
-rays. Using multiwaveband data from several ground and space based
instruments, in addition to HAGAR data, the spectral energy distribution of
Mrk~501 is obtained for various flux states observed during 2011. In the
present work, this observed broadband spectral energy distribution is
reproduced with a leptonic, multi-zone Synchrotron Self-Compton model.Comment: Published in Astrophysical Journal (ApJ
On the supersymmetries of anti de Sitter vacua
We present details of a geometric method to associate a Lie superalgebra with
a large class of bosonic supergravity vacua of the type AdS x X, corresponding
to elementary branes in M-theory and type II string theory.Comment: 16 page
