Derivations and Centroids of Four Dimensional Associative Algebras
In this paper, we focus on derivations and centroids of four dimensional
associative algebras. Using an existing classification result of low
dimensional associative algebras, we describe the derivations and centroids of
four dimensional associative algebras. We also identify algebra(s) that belong
to the characteristically nilpotent class among the algebras of four
dimensional associative algebras.Comment: 20 pages, 2 tables, Accepted in International Journal of Pure and

Analysing oil price- macroeconomic volatility in Nigeria
This study provides analytical insight on modelling macroeconomic and oil price volatility in Nigeria. Mainly, the paper employed GARCH model and its variants (GARCH-M, EGARCH and TGARCH) with daily, monthly and quarterly data. The findings reveal that: all the macroeconomic variables considered (real gross domestic product, interest rate, exchange rate and oil price) are highly volatile; the asymmetric models (TGARCH and EGARCH) outperform the symmetric models (GARCH (1 1) and GARCH - M); and oil price is a major source of macroeconomic volatility in Nigeria. By implication, the Nigerian economy is vulnerable to both internal shocks (interest rate volatility, real GDP volatility) and external shocks (exchange rate volatility and oil price volatility). Therefore, it is concluded that more credence should be given to asymmetric models in dealing with macroeconomic volatility in Nigeria and oil price volatility should be considered as relevant variable in the analysis of macroeconomic fluctuations in Nigeria. The study recommends that, the Nigerian economy should be diversified by revamping other sectors such as the agricultural sector and the industrial sector in order to reduce the impact of oil price uncertainty on macroeconomic volatility
Design and Construction of Sheabutter Extraction Machine for Rural Areas In The Developing Countries
Both industrial and domestic applications of oils/fats have
necessitated lipids research and the best method of
extraction. The design and construction of the sheabutter
extractor was made with the view of improving the nutrients
in sheabutter. The construction was made within the
available local raw materials.· The extractor- which is
portable and manually operated, is meant to serve r-ur-al
areas in the developing countries.
The sheabutter extractor was tested and was found to be

Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection : The Phantom Menace
Articles © The authorsWe present a case of a 66-year-old lady with chest pain, without dynamic 12-lead electrocardiographic (ECG) changes and normal serial troponin. Coronary angiography revealed a linear filing defect in the first obtuse marginal branch of the circumflex artery indicating coronary artery dissection, with superadded thrombus. She was managed medically with dual antiplatelet therapy and has responded well. Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) is a rare cause of cardiac chest pain, which can be missed without coronary angiography. Unlike most other lesions in patients with unstable symptoms, where coronary intervention with stenting is recommended, patients with SCAD generally fare better with conservative measures than with intervention, unless there is hemodynamic instability.Peer reviewe
Deterministic Model for Noise Dispersion from Gas Flaring: A Case Study of Niger – Delta Area of Nigeria
Noise is an audible acoustic energy that adversely affects the health, physiological and psychological well being of the individuals or populations. One of the major pollutants from gas flaring is the noise emanating from gas flaring stations in the Niger – Delta
area of Nigeria. Noise dispersion produces many adverse effects on man and animals.
Experimental analysis of noise dispersion and weather conditions used for simulation has been carried out, the modeling and simulation of noise dispersion from flare stations using visual basic programme is the main focus of this work. Results obtained shows some
variation between the simulated results and experimental results, with correlation coefficient ranging from 0.955 – 0.995. Simulation results of the developed model show that the noise intensity level reduces with increasing in distance from the flare point and that
weather conditions has an important influence on noise dispersion
