THE IMPORTANCE OF THE INFORMATICS SYSTEM FOR THE DURABLE DEVELOPMENT

    Get PDF
One of the fields whose importance has been surging lately is the durable development, which is impossible to achieve unless humankind gives up gradually to the fossil energy sources and switches to the exploitation of the renewable energy sources. This shift is mainly due to the fact that the traditional energy sources are limited, pricier and pricier and have a negative and irreversible effect upon the environment. In the durable development area, particularly the renewable energies, there are informatics systems used in a wide range of activities, from investments management and energy sources to the operation itself of their exploitation systems. Such informatics systems may be integrated at a higher level, as the national weather forecast system or other specific systems.informatics system; renewable energies; durable development; use of the renewable energies

ECONOMIC PROCESS OPTIMIZATION DEPLOYED BY COMPANIES WITH COMPLEX ACTIVITY PRODUCTION – TRADE – SERVICES USING INFORMATICS SYSTEMS WITH INTEGRATED DATA MINING TECHNIQUES

    Get PDF
There are many economic processes deployed by companies with a complex activity that can be optimized, among the most common being: supply, production/service, distribution, sales, suppliers/customers relationships, inventory management, human resources management, financial management, etc. After the deployment of business processes related data is obtained. The analysis of the related data must be the starting point in any attempt to optimize the economic processes because this data best reflects the actual situation of the company. In order to carry out such an analysis, several approaches have emerged to extract knowledge from the data accumulated. The first solution is to use specific software to analyze the available data. Another solution that can be successfully used is the implementation of data mining techniques within the database management software available supposing it is a new generation one.optimization; informatics system; economic process; data mining; data analysis

Mathematical Modeling of Feed Rations Using Solver Software

    Get PDF
Animal nutrition is a very large area of study where mathematical modeling is a success, as in many areas. In addition to shaping the main physiological processes underlying the farm animals yielding, the objective function optimization issue (i.e. total expenditure on fodder) arises both in terms of protein and vitamin's intake of nutrients and in terms of their cost. Optimising feed rations through mathematical modeling monitors the amount of food an animal needs throughout the day, so that the objective function (also called goal function of efficiency function) be minimum or maximum depending on the problem requirements. In order to solve mathematical model one needs fodder varieties that are part of the fodder basis and this feed (in kg) must be purchased or produced, and the solving method we use is the Solver tool of Microsoft Office Excel software . In order to optimize the objective function one should observe the following restrictions concerning the provisioning of total feed expressed in nutrients: provisioning of the necessary fodder by groups of fodder, observing proportions in fodder structure by groups of fodder, complying with fodder plants culture technologies and taking into account the availability of land designated for the forage and fodder crops. The mathematical model consists of three parts: the system of restrictions, non-negativity conditions and objective function. This paper shows the effectiveness of the Solver IT tools solver in dealing with many linear programming issues, including the establishment of feed rations as ensuring a good and well balanced food in terms of nutrition ensures both a good maintenance of the animals and an increased production

Bioeconomy Development and Using of Intellectual Capital for the Creation of Competitive Advantages by SMEs in the Field of Biotechnology

    Get PDF
The article aims to present a thorough research on the perceptions and opinions of the Romanian managers of small and medium enterprises in applied biotechnology on the importance of intellectual capital and the application of knowledge management principles to create and maintain competitive advantages. At the basis of the development of bio-economics, there is a successful implementation not only of top biotechnologies but also of new economic models that engage the economic agents in complex exchanges. Biotechnology companies are a true "engine" that helps the development of bio-economy basic mechanisms, optimization of their work having longterm repercussions. Companies that develop a sustainable knowledge management system that they integrate into their marketing strategy have the most prominent position on the market and gain multiple competitive advantages. The research, based on the qualitative research methodology in the form of an in-depth interview, highlights that the strategic decision regarding the implementation of a knowledge management system and the intelligent use of intellectual capital resources are correlated with variables such as: the managers’ level of education in the field, corelating managers' activity to organizational culture. Knowledge, for new business models, is a good asset that can be capitalized; from this perspective, the implications at the level of marketing strategies are in the same time diverse and complex. Biotechnology SMEs will adapt to requirements by developing competitive advantages as a result of establishing relationships and developing exchanges within strategic alliances and less according to a classical model based on attributes that aims positioning of products or services above those of the competitio

Social networks usage implications at the level of medical services consumption in Romania

The social networks usage degree increase is evident in recent years, this having implications for the consumption of the most types of products and services. A very special field of research is presented by the consumption of healthcare services, who, both in terms of consumption motivations, decisional buying process or consumer behavior is having peculiarities and specific traits. In this context, the present article aims to investigate the role that social networks use can have regarding changes within the consumer behavior in case of healthcare services consumption. In order to achieve the scientific endeavor, authors have conducted a quantitative marketing research as a field survey, using a questionnaire administered online to patients from different medical institutions, both from the public and private sector. The research results reveal key issues from the perspective of emotional involvement within consumption for the patients and the influence of key variables such as level of education, personality and lifestyle within social networks usage context

Airline Applications of Business Intelligence Systems

    No full text
Airline industry is characterized by large quantities of complex, unstructured and rapid changing data that can be categorized as big data, requiring specialized analysis tools to explore it with the purpose of obtaining useful knowledge as decision support for companies that need to fundament their activities and improve the processes they are carrying on. In this context, business intelligence tools are valuable instruments that can optimally process airline related data so that the activities that are conducted can be optimized to maximize profits, while meeting customer requirements. An airline company that has access to large volumes of data (stored into conventional or big data repositories) has two options to extract useful decision support information: processing data by using general-purpose business intelligence systems or processing data by using industry specific business intelligence systems. Each of these two options has both advantages and disadvantages for the airline companies that intend to use them. The present paper presents a comparative study of a number of general-purpose and airline industry specific business intelligence systems, together with their main advantages and disadvantages

INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES (ICT) USED FOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING

ABSTRACTEvery year advances in the field of Information and CommunicationTechnology (ICT) make possible the appearance of new applications and devices, new opportunities emerging with regularity, affecting almost all the areas wherethese technologies are used. In the education domain, as in the other domains, notonly the use of computers and communication networks brought significantchanges, but also the new approaches made possible by such technologies, likesimulating processes using specialized software. New technologies used foreducation are particularly appropriate for the training of young people, beingknown the fact that they are more receptive to technological changes and in generalattracted by modern devices that imply the use of information and communicationtechnologies. Taking into consideration the widespread access to internet and theappearance of mobile devices, the technology is ready to support a true mobilelearning, any person interested being able to access information whenever havingthe required time. Mobile learning or MLearning is different from traditionaldistance learning by the fact that it can take place everywhere by using mobileelectronic devices such as mobile phones, laptops connected to the internet bywireless networks, tablets, palmtops and other hi tech devices. For mobile learningto be possible, learning content must be made compatible to the hi-tech devicesused. The content can be both online and offline. Online content has the advantagesthat it is stored on a web server and can be accessed whenever it is necessarywithout downloading everything on the device, but has the disadvantage that aninternet connection is required.10 Halama
