Challenges of Catholic Men in the Church and the World

The laity in the Church is composed of men, women and youths. Each contributes their own quota in both the Church and the world. The Catholic men, who are the focus of this paper seemed to be difficult to be organized. Their activities however are felt in various sectors of the Church as husbands, fathers, knights and officials of the church and also in the world as leading members of the decision making bodies of our traditional and civil institutions like the kindred, town union, Igwe-in-Council and government sectors. Determinants of capital flight: the case of Nigeria

Through the least square regression analysis, this study constructs a model explaining the capital flight phenomenon in Nigeria. The revelation is that only a type of government exerts a significant effect on the volume of capital flight experience in Nigeria within the study period. Thus, it informs the conclusion that the volume of capital flight being experience in Nigeria can be explained significantly using macroeconomic indices corresponding to the period of such flight. Earnings-Dividend Relationship in Corporate Nigeria; A Test of Predictive Efficacy

Prompted by the need for an empirical evaluation of the relationship between corporate net earnings and dividend payouts of quoted Nigerian firms as well as the search for a strong predictive model for this relationship, the study evaluates the predictive efficacies of current- and one- year- lagged earnings regression models among the Nigerian quoted firms. Applying the ordinary least square regression analysis on one hundred and four (104) firms selected as the study sample, the results indicate that dividend payouts are relatively more sensitive to current earnings per share compared to past earnings per share. Further, the percentage change in dividend payouts attributable to changes in current earnings per share is found to be relatively higher than that attributable to changes in past earnings per share, thus providing evidence that current earnings model is relatively more effective in predicting the dividend payouts of Nigerian quoted firms. The study recommends strong information dissemination to all stakeholders in the Nigerian capital market in order to improve market efficiency and potential benefits derivable from the market by all participants

Crisis Management in Youth Leadership - an Evaluation of Paul’s teaching in 1 Timothy 4:12

Youths are considered important and cherished in every part of the world. The men, women and youths constitute the lay members of the church with each group contributing its own quota in both the church and the society. However, despite the importance attached to the youths and the fact that there cannot be a happy society without the youths, the Nigerian Christian youths have become victims of neglect and as such are exposed to certain untold predicaments resulting in difficulties in managing the affairs of the youths. This paper examined what youth predicaments are all about, the causes and consequences of these ugly situations. The paper recommended that the youths should not be abandoned, but be directed and educated, according to Paul’s teaching (1Tim.4:12), towards acquiring knowledge necessary to face the challenges in the leadership cadre for the teaming population of the Christian youths in our contemporary Nigerian society

Ayurveda elucidate due importance for the care of women at every phase of her life, especially when it comes to antenatal and postnatal care. Post natal is a period flowing child birth which can be certainly co-related with Sutika Paricharya explained in Ayurveda.  In this stage mother should be educated to take care of herself and the new born baby as the health of the mother affects directly over the newborn.  After delivery woman becomes weedy, also empty bodied (Shoonya Shareera)[1] due to physical and mental stress and debility at the level of reproductive organs.  It is essential for a mother to deepen and gain the mental, emotional and spiritual resources needed to carry her though all the demands of family life, without feeling depleted.  In this article highlights on various major components of Sutika Paricharya such as Ashwasana (Psychological Reassurance), Vihara and Aahara (Normal diet in puerperium) etc., Ayurveda prescribes numerous herbs to establish healthy status of the woman after delivery.  Ayurveda has executed the post-natal care (Sutika Paricharya) in a meticulous fashion focusing on every aspect required to nurture and replenish the health of woman and avoid postpartum complications
