Coulomb Gaps in One-Dimensional Spin-Polarized Electron Systems

We investigate the density of states (DOS) near the Fermi energy of one-dimensional spin-polarized electron systems in the quantum regime where the localization length is comparable to or larger than the inter-particle distance. The Wigner lattice gap of such a system, in the presence of weak disorder, can occur precisely at the Fermi energy, coinciding with the Coulomb gap in position. The interplay between the two is investigated by treating the long-range Coulomb interaction and the random disorder potential in a self-consistent Hartree-Fock approximation. The DOS near the Fermi energy is found to be well described by a power law whose exponent decreases with increasing disorder strength.Comment: 4 pages, revtex, 4 figures, to be published in Phys. Investigation of the Process of Methane-Oxygen Combustion in Steam Under the Atmospheric Pressure

In the article presented results of combustion methane-oxygen mixtures in the slightly superheated water steam under the atmospheric pressure. It is shown that exist dependence of flow rate combustible mixture and steam ratio (Gg.s./Gs) on the composition of the reacting mixture at the outlet of combustion chamber. MEDICAL NUTRITION FOR NON SPECIFIC ULCERATIVE COLITIS AND CROHN'S DISEASE IN CHILDREN

Disturbances of nutritive status are typical of patients with non specific ulcerative colitis и crohn's disease with such symptoms as body weight deficiency, disturbance of metabolism associated with the lack of proteins, macro and microelements, energy substrata. Nutrition plays a key role not only in the growth and development processes but also is one of the crucial factors determining the adequacy of the inflammatory response, adaptation compensatory processes. The article considers issues of medicated nutrition under this pathology, including the basic diet, usage of specialized mixes and enteral feeding to correct the protein energy disturbances, and as an independent treatment method.Key words: crohn's disease, non-specific ulcerative colitis, children, diet, enteral feeding, bowel disease
