Exploration of Overlapped Endogenous Mineralization Using the Results of Paleovolcanic Reconstructions

Abstract: Problems of exploring blind and overlapped deposits are currently very urgent. Geological and prospecting works can be highly efficient only during complex studies that enable one to identify structural units of the studied area and evaluate its geological and geochemical potential. The structural and geochemical criterion developed by the authors is considered. Its use is preceded by definition of the structural and geological characteristic of the territory based on the method of paleovolcanic reconstructions. At a later stage, areas that are promising for detection of ore mineralization are delineated based on confinement of various types of mineralization to specified structural units of paleovolcanic structures. Geochemical survey within the prospective areas makes it possible to evaluate prospects of the areas, distinguish the most promising sites, and to give a preliminary geochemical assessment of the overlapped mineralization zones. © 2021, Allerton Press, Inc
