    Nine species of water beetles of families Dytiscidae, Hydrophilidae and Dryopidae are recorded for the North Caucasus. Bidessus delicatulus (Schaum, 1844) and Oreodytes davisii (Curtis, 1831) are new for Russia and the North Caucasus, Megasternum prometheus Schatrowskij, 1990 – for Russia and the North-West Caucasus; Scarodytes halensis (Fabricius, 1787), Cercyon subsulcatus Rey, 1885 – for the Caucasus; Dryops anglicanus Edwards, 1909 – for the North Caucasus; Dryops viennensis (Laporte, 1840) – for Krasnodar Province. Records of Cercyon impressus (Sturm, 1807) and Cercyon ustulatus (Preyssler, 1790) are confirmed for the North Caucasu

    Aquatic and semiaquatic bugs (Heteroptera: Nepomorpha, Gerromorpha) of the North-Westesrn Caucasus: review of the fauna and its zoogeographical peculiarities

    This paper contains the complete list of aquatic bugs Nepomorpha and Gerromorpha of the North-Western Caucasus, which includes 45 species belonging to 11 families. Nine species: Ranatra unicolor Scott, 1874, Cymatia coleoptrata (Fabricius, 1777), Sigara stagnalis pontica Jaczewski, 1961, S. iactans Jansson, 1983, Microvelia reticulata (Burmeister, 1835), Aquarius paludum (Fabricius, 1794), Gerris odontogaster (Zetterstedt, 1828), G. argentatus Schummel, 1832 and G. asper (Fieber, 1860) are new for Adygea Republic. Data on distribution of all species are provided. The species ranges ara calssified into different types, named and the zoogeographical peculiarities of the fauna are discussed

    Ten species of water beetles are recorded for the first time from Uzbekistan: Helophoridae (Helophorus lapponicus C.G. Thomson, 1854, H. syriacus Küwert, 1885), Hydrophilidae (Berosus fulvus Küwert, 1888, B. bispina Reiche et Saulcy, 1856, Paracymus aeneus (Germar, 1824), Enochrus melanocephalus (Olivier, 1792), E.  fuscipennis C.G. Thomson, 1844, Cercyon quisquilius (Linnaeus, 1761)) and Heteroceridae (Heterocerus fusculus Kiesenwetter, 1843, H. obsoletus Curtis, 1828).
